minigirl, if you are that worried and obviously with OH looking after the DS', you don't want to be taking them out in the evening, can you not deliver goods during the day at the weekend? and collect money then too?

I know how hard it is to try and build a customer base, some of my customers are bus rides away, which makes it hard for me to deliver. They do try to come to when they can but it's really not fair on them and it is my job to go to them.

Where I live, there's me, on the next road, a rep, on the road after, 2 reps, on the road after that, a rep, on the road after that another rep. And I know for a fact they don't canvass their territories but I can't have their roads!
  • Aureol - I think thats what Im going to have to do. Really need some more customers so need some more territory. :o

Well just collected my first lot of books back - out of 20 houses I got three orders (not big ones but a start I guess), and got my books back from all but four houses. All the others put their books out as requested so was pleased with that. Do you think 3 out of 16 is average?

Also got a £40 order from Mum and 3 from her workmates. All in all am quite pleased for my first couple of days 'on the job' xxx

Thats really good for a first time of deliverying :T- you'll find you'll pick up some more customers next campaign and so on. Its hard to say whats average - sections of the streets I have aren't interested at all, all my customers seem to be grouped together on the streets. But - 4 out of 16 is 1 out of 4 houses which is pretty good!

Can I just ask, how much is it for the books? I obv got campaign 6, 20 books for this month, but just wondered how much I need to put aside for next months books. Thanks xx

Don't think this has been answered yet -

It's £4.86 for the first 15 (sounds a lot but works out at only 32.4p each)

then after that its only 48p for each further pack of 5.

  • Gutted that the Storm sunglasses are out of stock as one of my friends has ordered them!! Am tempted with the ones on ebay but will have to have a think about it! Is there any chance that Avon will get anymore in stock or is that it? Also, can anyone check if the antler bag set is in stock? that's the main part of my big ordering customer's order so i have my fingers crossed real tight!!!

Unfortunately my order isn't due in for quite a while yet so can't check on stock - are the storm glasses out of the clearance book? If they are, then it is very unlikely that avon will get further stocks. Mind you, I've had it happen that something out of clearance has been out of stock one campaign, and been told out of stock, no further deliveries expected, and then the next campaign another customer ordered it and it arrived! I can only assume that as it was a handbag, they must have had some un-opened returns that they could use to fulfill orders, rather than receiving more deliveries.
