Can't post a picture as I am at work but received this letter from Excel in the post at the end of last month.
Dear Mr XXXXX
We have now had the opportunity to collate all the evidence surrounding the evening on which the aforementioned Parking Charge Notice (PCN) was issued.
This information was then passed to management for a full review and further to this, it is clear to us that the motorists in question have been scammed, likewise, so has our client.
In light of this, it is only fair and appropriate to cancel all PCN's issued as a result of the scam and refund any monies paid in respect of those PCN's paid.
Please be assured that the police have been fully informed of the incident and we continue to support them through their investigations.
For future reference, all Excel Parking staff wear fully liveried uniform and carry Personal Identification at all times.
The whole situation is most unfortunate for all involved and we can only hope that the match result on the night goes some way of softening the blow!
If we can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.
Yours sincerely
R Rhodes
For and on behalf of the senior manager
Central Payments Office.
anyone have any idea what this is about? why the change of heart all of a sudden?
I didnt appeal so I dont know why it says that it was passed to management for a full review...0 -

Hi, I really need help!! I parked on private land which I did know and was very aware of having parked there for a few months now. Yesterday i had a ticket on my car from "Legal parking enforcers" has any one heard of these? It gave me a website on the flimsy piece of paper they wrote my "penalty" on but the website just says "site coming soon". Strange seeming it says I can pay online? Also some of the images & text appears photo copied? It has LPE printed several times across the paper. On the back it says "warning if payment is not received within 28 days an order of payment through the courts will be applied for. You may also have to pay all relevant costs". The word "may" stands out to me here!! The signs on the site state it is a wheel clamping process, no mention of fines. I have actually seen once two ticket officers walk past my car parked there & several others next to me & they didn't blink an eyelid!
I noticed excel was on the list aboveI actually paid these guys last year £40 if I recall?! Anyone know if I can get my money back or any advice on this new ticket? If it is a legal company then I will pay because I know full well I shouldn't of been parked there!! Thanks

Another question, how do these companies get your details to send letters & I also read above someone received texts? Is this what I should expect?0

Welcome to MSE. It would be better if you could start your own thread, as this one is just for listing the various letters sent out by parking companies. To quickly answer your questions. Don't pay or contact the parking company, and I am afraid you have no chance of recovering the money you paid to Excel. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

start your own threads if the stickies with the watchdog/solicitor/paper aeroplane clip and these letter-chains aren't enough to convince you to ignore. Then when you've started your own thread someone will come along...and tell you to ignore...:d
As I said just a few posts above, please read these info stickies and then if still unsure, start your own thread.
no replies here please, this thread is for info only
no replies here please, this thread is for info onlyPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

On Thursday last my Mrs received a letter from Roxburghe re. Elite Management ( Midlands) Ltd, asking for £196.00.
I remember getting a ticket on a piece of land adjacent to a pub, but thought it was a joke ... I was just going to the bank over the road ..
Roxburghs are winning at the moment as my Mrs is giving me Hell as the car is registered in her name and I didn't tell her about it.
What to do ? - 14 days to pay apparently .... cowboys, this is profiteering at it's worst.0 -

this is the letter i received from LCP Parking Services, it was actually to a van rental company who paid it then charged it onto my credit card along with an administration fee for their costs.
i emailed the rental company threatening legal action and they have now agreed to refund me.
my argument was essentially that i hadn't agreed to LPC's terms, therefore no contract existed and the charge wasn't valid; further, even if a contract had existed, the rental company would not have been party to it, could not have been liable for it or pursued for it and had no right under their terms and conditions of hire to act as though they were legally obliged to pay the charge on my behalf and then pass the cost on to me.
