    Hi guys,

Thought I'd register just to let you know that UKPC appear to have a new format of ticket. One of my flatmates at uni got a ticket of the previous style as mentioned in the original post. Funnily enough, he's German and his car's on German plates and unsurprisingly, they didn't bother to look into matters further:rotfl:

I just recieved a new style 'parking charge notice' (or should I say unenforcable invoice) earlier today and felt I should share.

Add a http:// in front of the link below. As a new user, I can't post links / images.

I take I should just ignore any 'letters' from Roxburghe, Graham White, et al.

    Hope this helps.
    Ash :)

  • Hi

I got a 'Parking Charge Notice' today from MET parking services after being a a mcdonalds car park!
I notice that on here you dont have a any examples from MET... is it the same for them- to ignore? will they take me to court?
Its because i was driving and nearly falling asleep so i had a nap and then a meal and ended up staying 115mins, instead of 75. I didnt see the signs- I just didnt even think they would limit a McDonalds Car park!!
What should I do?? Its £50 and I'm a student so that A LOT of money. worse still, the car is registered to my mother so the notice is in her name... im really worried.
    Any advice? thanks
  • You can ignore MET begging letters. Whoever it is, the law states quite simply that private companies cannot issue 'fines'. Expect nasty little letters full of threats but have no legal validity.
Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!

Advice is, you and Mum should watch the Watchdog programme clip linked on some of these MET threads and read what other people have said about what letters they got before it all fizzled out:

This is letter 2 from Civil Enforcement LTD. I's just one side. The bits where I've written stuff over are the only other bits with printing - it has lots of gaps.

Thanks for posting this juno - have you already posted letter 1 or have I missed it as we didn't even have Civil Enforcement Ltd on the first post until just now. Thanks :)

We have now added MET letters to the first post, thanks very much to the member who supplied this info - much appreciated

Graham White seem to be using a new letter. This time it talks about "Civil Proceedings Rules 31.16 -Disclosure Before Proceedings Start" and tries to involve the registered keeper in the process. Here is the image (taken from a thread on CAG about an NCP ticket in a Hospital):-

    Final Warning
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
