I know the letter head was really getting on my nerves. Obviously when contacting the uni they denied all knowledge of the letters being sent on their letter head!!
Cheers X
Was this denial in writing ?
What action has the University taken to stop this happening ?0 -
On Coupon-mads advice (thanks btw) just uploading a 'new' final notice letter from Parking Eye as it's different from the one's already posted. Left off the http as I'm a newbie and want this post to get seen. They state this is my third letter, hmmmm, the second must have got lost in the post
. Hope it's helpful.

This is the Parking Eye letter from above.
I wonder if that John Mitchell from the "legal department" has any legal qualifications? I bet he doesn't.What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
Thanks MTB boy for taking the time to scan and upload - I've added it to the first post.
It's a great help to others that we have a decent (and still growing) collection of PPC letters and I'm sure that your collective efforts have prevented innocent and possibly scared/intimidated members of the public paying any money to these cowboys. :T
I'll move the recent posts to the archive thread (link at end of first post) in a few days time to keep the thread clean and simple to read. Just a heads-up so nobody thinks they've been naughty and had posts deleted by the forum team.0 -

Thanks for all your hard work, Crabman.
Did you know this individual thread is a direct sticky thread link on pepipoo forums now (I think their mods got fed up with me keep posting this link every time someone came on there with a PPC ticket!).

I thought I'd just add my recent experience involving UKPC at my local Asda store car park in Leyton Mills, London.
I got slapped with a £45 fine for parking my scooter in the cycling bay even though (a) there are no signs informing motorcyclists they are not allowed to park in this bay and (b) I've parked my bike in the cycling bay on many numerous occasions at Asda without any problem. Apparently about 3 months ago they added a motorcycling parking bay which I was totally unaware of, and obviously I needed to chain my scooter somewhere secure (I've had my previous scooter stolen for not chaining it in a public street). I tracked down the guy who issued the ticket and explained all this to him, and he told me I could appeal. The bike wasn't presenting an obstruction to anyone nor was it taking up more than one cycling space.
The other day I appealed online - even though I found all the info on the net, including this forum and that Watchdog video, saying that these types of parking fines are illegal - but thought I'd appeal anyway, even though I'm not intending any shape or form paying their ridiculous fines. I was pretty humble and civil in my reasoning. I then received a letter today saying this (prepare to lol):
" We have investigated the appeal based on the information submitted by yourself and can confirm in this instance that the PCN was issued correctly for the following reasons.
There is no parking in unauthorised areas at the Leyton Mill Retail Park.
There are sufficient signs warning vehicles owners that should they park their vehicle in authorised areas, this will result in a PCN being issued by post." (There are no signs that I could see, in fact next time I go to Asda (if I ever do decide to shop there again at all), I will be taking photos to prove otherwise).
This is the fun part: "Your PCN has been on hold whilst on appeal and may be settled in full at the rate of £90 provided payment is received at the above address within 14 days of the date of this letter. [Don't hold your breath mate.]
Yours faithfully
PCN Appeals Dept
UK Parking Control Ltd"
Don't let these ridiculous charlatons get away with this. I'm not paying them a penny and suggest no-one else gets bullied into this either.
I shall look forward to future follow-up letters from them.0 -

Just ignore them completely, and 0870 numbers are another form of income for them so don't use it to call them, though for the life me I can't think of a reason to call themExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
