Ooooh I'm so jealous! I really want to go to NY, maybe in the next few years; I want to go with lots of money so I can go mad! I don't think OH will be too interested in the SATC bits though, I might have to drag him around but not tell him why we keep 'finding' certain spots!

Sorry about your bumface uncle! I think family find it difficult to remember to be professional at work but he really shouldn't belittle you in front of 'outsiders'! Tell your Dad what happened and say you won't help your uncle again following his behaviour as it is unprofessional and you won't stand for it! The young girl who works in my office got the job here because her Mum, Dad and sister all work here in different departments but the way they all talk to each other in a work environment is shocking! I want to say something but I don't know how to say it!

I'm going to have a word with my Dad about it tonight, as my Uncle has gone out but I know all I'll get is 'You know what your Uncle is like'

The thing is, he's not your uncle in the workplace and he shouldn't be allowed to treat you like that. ONe of the pitfalls of working with family I guess. You seem a bit cheerier anyway so that's good.

I think they do SATC tours don't they? Our thoughts of NY have totally gone off the radar for some reason which is a big shame, maybe if win the lottery ;)

You can come with me and my sister if you want :D We're going all out girly with it, will be nice not having to factor in 'boy' stuff like when I'm on holiday with OH *ahem* not that I'm selfish or anything.. But I'm wanting to save a nice bit of spending money too so I can go pretty mental shopping :D

It is hard keeping family/work ways seperate when you work with each other! I do have a strop at my Dad sometimes :o But I think I do quite well, as I do act differently with people here than I do at home. Like here my Dad is my Boss and my Brother is allowed to boss me about so I let them get on with it but at home I'm equal to my brother and my Dad becomes my Dad again! But because it's a family run place, even the people who aren't family get treated like they are, which is nice. Like the woman I work with is my fostered grumpy Aunty and the guy upstairs is the pervy Uncle you try to forget about :D Swings and Roundabouts!

Woops, didn't see Tetes post then!

They do!! You get a SATC bag I think.. I know if you go and stay at the Hotel in Paris where Carrie stayed you can book the SATC package and you get freebies! Totally different things/places I know, but shhh!

I know he shouldn't treat me like that though, I'll fight my corner though if my Dad uses that line with me. I don't like being shown up!

He's not too bad really, it's OH I feel for as he just calls me names, but smacks OHs bum  *sniggers*

Hmm, trying to think of something to do! Posted my MMP dvds off, so that'll be almost £20 into the laptop account when I get the cheque! Thinking I might keep the Tesco cheque until I get MMP one as it's silly making 2 trips, even more so when the Tesco one is only a pound or so!

Need to update my toiletries list at *some* point though, as my Sister gave me some samples that she picked up last night - and I gave her one of the lotion samples in return!

Oh bless you Cinny, I hate it when people make you take the rap (wrap?) for things you know aren't your fault - Grrr! Unfortunately it happens with people who aren't family too! Stay calm, state your case, smile sweetly and wait for karma to kick in :)

I can't believe your house deposit is already 7.5% - that's fab! Bring on the NYC savings :) I'm planning to go for my 30th next year, which incidentally is my (fairly ambitious) DFD, so one of them might have to wait! (I've got Martin and Dinah on one shoulder telling me to clear the debt and Carrie Bradshaw on the other... - help!)

What have you lovely ladies got planned for the weekend?

LOL Poddle, sounds like a tough one!

I'm going to a Papercraft Extravaganza tomorrow with MIL (seriously, it's called an Extravaganza- how exciting!) and tomorrow night I'm going to stay with a friend and go out for some drinkies in the cheap bars! 2 for 1 cocktails here I come!

Loving the sounds of your plans! :D I'm not up to much really, baking most of tomorrow then having my driving lesson and going to the cinema on Sunday!

Thanks for the words of wisdom Poddle, I like the idea of Karma coming around and kicking my Uncle in the bot :D 7% of the target is a bit of a cheat though, as I already had it! Been 0.5% since I started this diary, which isn't that bad!
