Yes. I have known all the bridesmaids between five and eight years and in all that time their sizes have never changed (size eight to a size twelve).

Luckily I don't vary that much either and my dress have the ability to cope with half a stone change in either way (would prefer half a stone less than more!!!)

Have you had much family input? We are really lucky that everyone is very happy for us and keen to help without being over pushy.

What are you all planning for your hen parties? One of my bridesmaids has suggested a spa day and the idea has gone down very well (age ranges are from twenty through to sixty five). We are off for a trial day in April which the spa is offering (well it is only right that we put ourselves through all that hardship to test it for everyone else!!) :rotfl:
  • [FONT=&quot]the DJ,Photograher,Cake,Car,Hair & make up are things that are being done by family and friends, whilst my mother has paid for half of the venue :)

we to are going to do a spa day there is a spa near us that is rather small and you can hire the whole thing for spa days for about £50 per person and that will include the mothers then the evening i think we are going but i dont know about that :)

We too are looking to spa day for hen night (day!)...again it will be small affair with sis mum and mil (maybe!) and then i'm just going for meal + few quiet (hopefully!!) drinks with friends - not up for spending fortune on mad night out or weekend abroad like some of my friends, quiet's fine by me...fits in more with the quiet wedding theme! I think it sounds like we're all on course, hopefully it will all come together bit by bit!! Our family have been really supportive; they are quite happy for the day to be as we wish it to be and are contibuting towards it with what they can, which is more than we accounted for as we've saved to pay for it ourselves. Having the spad to yourselves sounds good, where abouts are you?

West Midlands...quite a few nice hall-type settings up here for spa days but quite pricey so need to look smaller and more intimate I think.

    hi everyone

im getting married on the 2nd or 3rd of decemder in New York. Not sure of the actual day yet. We land on the 30th November, get the wedding license on December 1st, then we have to ait exactly 24 hrs before we can use it. As were getting maried at marraige bureau you dont book a ceremony you just turn up and wait like in Vegas.

me, oh (obvously) and our 2 dd's are going as well as my mum, 2 sisters, 2 aunts, and 4 friends are going and i cant wait.

We went to see the local football stadium to book for a party for when we get back and we've just this moment booked it. Just gotta sort the hotel in New York.

Just trying to find a dress now!!!
