Wow, quite a lot of activity since I first posted. Not sure the right thing to say is "it's good to hear others having similar problems with this company" but I hope you understand what I mean. Clearly there is a problem with this company so hopefully this thread will prevent others having similar problems.

If CJones is still out there maybe you can help me get my money back....as for the great customer service you talk about, numerous other emails sent and attempted phone calls since my first post don't strike me as such.

It's been over 2 months now (and no snow for quite some time) so I have resigned myself to the fact that my money is lost however CJones, if your out there, perhaps you can get your pals to do the right thing. If this does get resolved, I will happily re-post on here to advise and therefore giving them an (albeit slight) positive posting.
  • I would like to add my voice to the growing number of people here who are dissatisfied with this company, having had the same problems as everyone else. I wish I had found this thread before ordering from them, but hopefully now this has been bought to the attention of the general public it will make other people think twice before making any purchases from them. There is no justification whatsoever for running a business in this way. If there are genuine problems then each customer should be notified accordingly as to when they can expect their order to arrive, this is a matter of basic courtesy. There is no excuse for ignoring people's emails, that is just downright rudeness and a sure fire way to ensure that no-one ever uses their services again. I very much doubt my order will turn up, but even if it does I will certainly not be ordering from them again, purely for their appaling customer "service".

I would not touch this company with a bargepole, mainly because its obvious they are not delivering the goods, but also partly because I believe cjones is staff or has a connection with the company. For him to come on here and argue with customers who've received a poor service is appalling.

I can confirm I have no direct connection to them, but that they have always been a pleasure to deal with and I would hate to see their reputation tarnished unfairly.

Your suggestion sounds good to me. I am not that familiar with these forums, but are they allowed to register/post as a business? I am not sure what the rules are? Do you?

Yeah right! It ALWAYS tickles me when business owners come on here posing as 'satisfied' customers. We can always spot them a mile off! What a muppet!

Takes more than that to fool MSE-ers!

I've got a dog and 2 cats and will NOT be using this company.

Going to check if there's a link to this thread already from the pet section and if there isn't one I'm going to post one - if OP doesn't mind. The more people who know about it the better!

I wouldn't touch them with someone else's bargepole! :rotfl:

Love how Cjones has now gone quiet lol
  • If CJones was merely a genuine satisfied customer voicing his opinion he would not have gone to the trouble of reporting other people's posts and getting the telephone number removed. Well CJones, although you are no longer posting, I would imagine you are still reading these comments so I would like you to know that this company is being reported to trading standards and the word is rapidly spreading around pet forums. Shouldn't bother you though as you are not connected in any way to the business.

While your reporting the company to Trading Standards you could also enquire whether they think CJones has breached the Unfair Business Act. It makes it against the law for someone associated with a company to pretend to be a happy customer. Breaches are handled by the OFT.

    See rule 18.

    http://www.oft.gov.uk/shared_oft/business_leaflets/cpregs/oft979.pdf

    18. A wolf in sheep’s clothing
Falsely claiming or creating the impression that the
trader is not acting for purposes relating to his/her trade,
business, craft or profession, or falsely representing
    oneself as a consumer.

If it was checked MSE can find the ISP address and compare it to the companies ISP.
  • I ordered, got no goods and no reply to my e-mails or telephone calls. I do not know what is going on but it is not acceptable.

I got in touch with Consumer Direct - their tel no. is 08454-040506. They advised doing a 14 day warning letter by registered post to the company demanding either a full refund or the goods. I did this and kept the Proof of Postage and tracked the letter and printed out that it had indeed been delivered. I still received no goods or refund.
Next I was advised to contact my Bank, their fraud dept. I gave them full details, they have sent me a form to fill in. I am asked to enclose copies of all correspondence and evidence. This I am sending today. Apparently your Bank can get your money back off them. At the very least this company is now being investigated by the fraud dept of my bank and by Trading Standards.

I urgently advise anybody who is in the same situation to act just like I have. It is absolutely not acceptable that I placed an order in February and have so far received nothing. They need dealing with.
