Brambles Pet Shop Ltd / Ultimate Animals

Just wanted to advise people against using the above online pet shop. I used them back in January, ordering via the website, and payment was immediatly taken from my account. Now over 6 weeks later I still haven't received what I ordered (advised at time of ordering it would take up to 5 working days). I have sent 4 emails but had no response and left numerous answerphone messages (no one ever answers) with similar results.

I can only presume that they're a scam site so wanted to forewarn others from making the same mistake that I did.

Not sure if this is posted in the correct category so apologies if not.

  • Thanks Pauleb80, I have had exactly the same. I bought an item 3 weeks ago, nothing received, no reply to emails or voicemail messages left!!!!!!
  • I have now been 'stung' by this company. Same as previous comments although I recieved part order of an identity disc, but not the rest of the order. VERY frustrating ... need to do something about this company but don't know what we can do!? Does anyone know how to go about reporting online fraudsters?

    Long standing website, its been online since 2000:

    And no noticable complaints until last month, so i doubt its a scam site.
    If payed by paypal raise a dispute, or chargeback via your credit card.
  • I have also ordered from the company. The money was taken for the full order at the time of placing.

    The smallest part of the order arrived within 5 days with a form stating the rest of the order had been previously dispatched.

    Waited a week for Royalmail to deliver in case of problems but nothing arrived.

    Since then I have contacted the company by phone number listed in the BT phonebook (as no number on the website) which is forwarded to a mobile answering machine and no one replies to these messages.

    I have emailed them several times with no response and even sent a recorded letter they signed for but still no contact from this company :mad:

    I would definately NEVER use this company again and would advise others to do the same.

    Blimey, is there no one here that hasnt just joined the site that is having trouble?? Not saying you all are not having problems, just that if they are this bad, surely older members should see this and post.

  • From Companies House check on Co. number 0674088, they appear to be active, so we can all also register complaints with The Insolvency service.

    It's at insolvency dot gov dot uk and then slash cib

  • I should make something clear: my link to insolvency dot gov etc might have led you to believe that they are insolvent/in adminstration.

    They're not. CH lists them as active. The website i directed you to is the Companies Investigation Branch, which,

    My father ordered goods (undelivered) in NOVEMBER 2009. So they're deliberately continuing to obtain money by deception a bloody long time since then.

    I have read this forum and would like to say how happy I am with their service and always have been.

    As a very satisfied customer I have felt compelled to register and voice my disagreement with the comments by RJKflyer and 'aries' and I have also made a formal complaint about content RJKflyer has left on this forum about such a great business. Obviously RJKflyer has some personal agenda going on.

    It would be hard to find a business that doesn't have disgruntled customers, but I am sure the ones here represent an extremely small percentage when compared to the satisfied customers.

    I have always received a reply to emails within 24-48hrs and received orders promptly. During the bad weather late 2009 and 2010 they did experience problems with orders being dispatched promptly, but I remember them clearly warning customers before purchasing that the weather was affecting the dispatch of orders, and this was clearly displayed on the homepage of their website.

    I know it is a family run business and it makes me so angry to see RJKFlyer and 'aries' attack them in this way.
