Sainsburys - Absolute Joke/Expensive

I do all my shopping in Sainsburys, but yesterday was driving back from holiday and passing a Morrisons so decided to stock up from there rather than walking to Sainsburys later on...... and it was so expensive! Milk, onions, peppers (especially these), pasta were all dearer than I pay in Sains. One thing in particular that annoyed me was that the ham on the deli counter was pre-sliced, so you couldn't ask for thin slices (ie to make it cheaper). I don't have a Tesco or Asda so can't compare, and I also rarely buy branded goods which may make a difference.0

I dont know about your local asda but mine is a dirty hole and I dont like the idea of buying my food from there. Sainsburys on the other hand is spotless and a much nicer shopping experience and I'd rather pay the difference for that. Tescos still my favourite though0

My shop is always cheapest at sainsburys
Every time with out fail and my shop varies a lot"Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes."
All truth goes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Then, it is violently opposed. Finally, it is accepted as self-evident.0 -
Ive not got an issue with sainsburys but maybe thats because i spent 7 years working for them, i do find the staff in there polite as opposed to tesco where the satff aren't helpful at times.0

I have to say, I have had the best Customer service ever from Sainsburys.
Some years ago, I filled up with petrol at their petrol station. The petrol gun didn't cut off when the tank was full, so covered me and my work uniform in petrol. The staff were quite poor on offering assistance, and I was offloaded at work and sent home (on full pay). Complained to MD and had a cheque for £150 compensation a few days later.
Have returned any problem food (rotten veg etc) and I have been looked after with a refund or replacement. Returned a sleepsuit and was immediately offered a replacement by a lovely happy lady.
I disagree with those saying M&S is 'superior'. I dislike the overly-rich flavouring in the foodstuffs and the customer service is dreadful. I complained about seedless graped containing pips and was set all around the wreakin to obtain a refund. Ridiculous.
SAINSBURY'S ROCK!!!!

Frazzles are £1.39 at Sainsbury's not £1.89!
Ah they have come down then in the last week or so
Perhaps my email to them helped :rotfl:
still 23p dearer than the competitors and no they dont pay more for them from the supplier
People saying i can shop elsewhere
i do
Was just pointing out that Sainsburys tend to be at the high end with regards pricing when it comes to a lot of products
Those two were just a couple of examples id recently noticed
Give them their dues their fresh bread is good unlike Tesco's whose french sticks the next day resemble baseball bats0 -
If you are so fond of Frazzles why not go to Poundland where they are, guess what, a pound!!
By the way, I am a Sainsbury's fan too but if I don't like the price of something then I don't buy it, simple."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -

Over the last few years i've noticed that everything you buy is always dearer than in other stores.
Two examples i noticed recently (and i'm sure there are plenty of others)
Asda 8 pack of Smiths Frazzles £1.16
Sainsburys £1.89
Asda/Tesco Glens Vodka 1 litre bottle £11.38
Sainsburys £12.48
Thats some mark up on both those products
From my personal experience Sainsburys are no better than any other supermarket
Tbh it would be a carp advertising ploy for them to say they were worse then other supermarkets ?Vuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0 -
I like Sainsburys, yesterday I got bogof on organic cheddar cheese and hot cross buns.
Tescos bakery hot cross buns are not as nice as Sainsburys has anyone else found this or was I just unlucky.
