Proofs have come for the invites so spent the weekend making amendments.
My 3rd Bridesmaid tried her dress on (as she is away at uni and back for w/end) its going to need taking up
Our rings should be ready this week!!

Busy weekend for us - put money down on the venue on saturday and made a mock up of our invites which have now got OH's approval so I can get going on actually making them. Woop!

I had this seller saved in my faves on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190461116256. She was selling the same as my shoes but with a matching bag for £100 plus £6 postage but they didnt sell. Why dont you message her and ask if she will relist them?????

Hi girls, haven't been on for a while as been busy with wedding, exams and everything else!

But, how excited am I that we get a royal wedding on our wedding day!! Means everyone gets the day as a bank holiday and won't need to book off a days holiday. We couldn't have planned it better ourselves!! :j

Bit of an update, we've booked our band as well as a photobooth for the evening so we're pretty much there now.

Only my accessories to go and I'm lucky enough to know someone who'll make them for me. No idea how I'll decide on what to have though!!

Sounds like everyone else's planning is going well and looking forward to keeping more up to date

Honeyrose-without meaning to sound patronising-good on you for being so positive about the Royal wedding on the same day as yours! It could be very easy to throw a tantrum, but hey-at least the paparazzi won't bother you now!
Am going to phone the caterers at lunch time today to a)check if they're still free on our wedding day and b)if they are, arrange a meeting to sort out menus etc..
I WILL get organised!!

Well, I just thought there's absolutely nothing we can do to change it so may as well think of the positives!

We're far enough away from London too that I can't see how it will effect ours other than getting our guests to Sky+ the wedding if they really want to see it!

So they are the day before ours, which is perfect in a way - guests have extra time off to make their way to us and we can watch the wedding the day before to get 'in the mood' as 'twere

Our plans are going well - with a slight caveat! Our invites arrived from Vistaprint today. They're perfect - except daft-as-a-brush me forgot to put the DATE on the evening invitations!! What a muppet! Luckily OH has just laughed at me rather than getting annoyed. They look v good though, v impressed with the quality given the price (and the speed!).

We've also finalised our menu, which I love - difficult bit will be deciding what I want, it all sounds amazing!!

Morning!
Just been thinking about the Royal wedding being a day before ours...is anyone else thinking of sending the invites out a little earlier, in case people think about taking a holiday around then, it is now possible to have an 11 day holiday whilst only taking 3 days of annual leave because there are so many bank holidays :jwhich is great..but I don't want to lose our guests!!

Definately, we're sending our invites out this weekend now rather than December/January now to make sure people have the date in their diaries!

Luckily we'd started making them earlier this month so we're pretty much there with them (will try and add a pic when done if I can work out how!).

What are you going for with your menu Lavendyr? Can't wait to do our tasting next year, so much yummy food to try

I think i better get some invites sorted out to. We have lots coming down south from up north so they might have problems with accommodation if people are taking a holiday.
