What if it had been a pregnant mother, pushing a child, while walking a dog.
    Could you have stopped then?
    At night
    With no lights.
    And you eyes shut?

Why would a pregnant mother be pushing a child whilst walking a dog across that road?

People seem to have it in their head that this was just some normal 30mph road in a build up town, let me post a picture.

And you dont even have the maturity to care.

People like you shouldnt even be on the roads.

bit harsh as we were'nt there dont know the road etc etc

if he came on saying he was driving like a !!!! doing 60mph in a 40mph zone i would be down his throat as well

he stated he was doing 60mph in a 60mph zone whats wrong with that makes no odd if a dog/dear/fox/badger or child runs out in front at that speed no one would be able to stop.
he was driving to the speed limit we can't all drive around at 20mph thinking what if...

To be fair, if he could stop, it wouldn't be an "accident".
    Attempted murder possibly.
But he couldn't, so we'll have to stick to "accident" regardless of what he couldn't stop for.

Excuse me? I have grown up quite enough. So what? I'm expected to drive down roads at 5mph "Just incase something happens"? The fact of the matter is... The dog shouldn't have been near a 60Mph road... That's the end of the story. Yes, there are more important things... But my car isn't just dented, Genius. As it happens there is £1500 worth of damage.

No, i wouldn't have been able to stop if it was a child, maybe if you knew the road you would understand? Or maybe not, because you seem to be so incompetent that it may be beyond your mental capacity. So you grow up, and i suggest that you drop your frankly disgusting attitude to young drivers. You're a disgrace to yourself.

    Another pompous post=

Youre beginning to sound like a pompous middle aged pratt,

Like i say, if you have contacted your insurance company your premium will go up anyway now, and i certainly hope so, it may make you drive a bit slower so that you would be able to stop if it was a child,
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Are you !!!!!!. I would love to see you travelling down a motorway and on the odd occurrence of a dog running out in front of you, try to stop. Take a look at the pictures darling... I'm sure now you might understand the circumstances? Maybe not still though.

Plus, i have the mental capacity to repair a car myself and i have the parts... Go play with your meow meows now :)

Oh my god. My insurance isn't going up like i have said. Look at the road! There would not be people crossing it! It's not a road you would cross! There is no point!

I see the speeding/young driver/animal Police have been on here. Evening all.

The fact is a dog darts out at a far greater speed than any child could. What about the children?! Seems like some people on here need to get a sense of reality and face the fact that there were no children involved and that the dog owner was wholly negligent. I doubt that the animal would have survived if the OP was doing 40 mph.

So what speed would you drive at on said piece of road then?

Even 30 MPH wouldn't be enough to stop with a small, low, fast dog running through the undergrowth headed for your bumper.

I assume you obviously drive at 5 MPH on the motorway, in case a child comes running out (from under a bridge obviously)?

If not your just a hypocrite...
