However, if the shop assistant hands out a fake note in change to a customer, you appear to be saying that if the fake is spotted the shop will exchange it for another.
Perhaps what should happen here is that the customer keeps the fake, to take to the police of course, and asks the shop for a real note.
Is that what you meant to say?0 -
Any news on this?
What did the police say when you reported it to them?0 -

It's theft by the shop. Call the police and explain the situation. They probably won't do anything though.
Having fake money is a crime though. The shop should therefore notify the police. If they have not then have they pocketed it!!!???0 -
Phone the police and say the Co-Op have stolen your property.0

They are not very fair trade either they pay the least to British farmers for milk than any major supermarket
In March, the CoOp raised two fingers to milk producer, Dairy Crest which previously supplied 25% of the chain's own-branded milk.
Every single litre of CoOp-branded milk is now sourced from Wiseman Dairies.
This is dreadful news for Dairy Crest, which has just announced huge job cuts.
And it also terrible news for the consumer. The loss of competition in milk production will soon be felt through higher prices.
CoOp milk is already some of the most expensive on the High Street. Expect the price to go even higher.
The Co-Operative is definitely not "good for everyone".

To be fair, this thread was linked to in a recent thread, so an easy mistake to makeOne important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

I know im late here but looking at the original question i would have stuck my arm in their till and taken all the fakes that they had and said 'these are fake.... i shall be detaining them'. As someone who has worked in safes/cash office i can almost guarantee they had several fakes in there.0
