  • Ooh, sounds fun - plus if you have a big dress, you could doo less cmplicated steps as your feet will be hidden :D

Or I could pick really complicated ones, safe in the knowledge that only OH has to get them right as no one will see [STRIKE]if[/STRIKE] when I mess it up!

    Thanks for all the advice.

Basically, we're waiting on an undisclosed sum of money which could come at any time in the hope that it'll be a decent amount for a deposit.
Renting locally is about £500+ a month  It's so expensive :( So we're stuck for now living apart at our respective parents. I guess that adds to the push to buy.

Cor, I'd love to pay £500 a month - our 1 bed flat is £900pcm, and that's a good deal! That's London for you though :o
We're looking to buy this year too. Having been frugal since I got my first job at 15, I have a fair whack in my savings towards a deposit.
Just need to keep a little back for the wedding!

Haha, I know what you mean, too many pretty things!
I think I was lucky as a teenager - my mum worked in a bank, so she was always giving me advice, set up an account to save into when I got a job, warned me against credit cards etc!

Just sorted out my certificate of marriage - saw the room that im getting married in for the first time! But luckly it was nice!!!
Now just need to do my evening invites, find disposable cameras, wishing well, 'cheese' cake, cheese board for the cake, tiara, underwear, jewellery, makeup - sort out who is doing makeup, who is doing hair, start making wedding favour boxes (making my own chocolates nearer the time!), find rings, kick OH into gear about suit, flowers, sort out table plan (only 20 guests), chase up wedding dress shop to see where it is, god the list is endless!

Is anyone going for the traditional 'something borrowed, something blue etc.'???

How is everyone else getting on?
