Good Good , in the end. had a nightmare with the hotel. booked through a company UK Leisure. Net so nothing would go wrong lol got to the B&B and they didnt know we were coming, they were shut s on holiday and their daughter was just staying to keep eye on place anyway cut very very long story short and couple of taxi rides later we got to new (much nicer) B&B and then onto Funny Girls. WOW its ace, right laugh.

I need some advice on how to approach telling my MIL2b that the suggestions she is making for what my OH is going to wear are really horrible.... I feel really bad because I want to involve her as much as possible but she is really 'old fashioned' and I don't think she gets my vision for our wedding day. I mean his parents are paying for the suits so maybe I should just let her choose them? My OH won't say anything because he is so infuriatingly laid back he'd get married in a chicken suit if someone told him to.
I want to just be honest, but I want to do it tactfully as well...trying to become a moneysaving student0 -
can you just say 'oh ive really fallen in love with such and such, is soo smart and its what ive been thinking of so could we get it?'
that way its not like your turning your nose up at her ideas just putting what you want across
my h2b was wearing a nice pair of shoes when wed been to see a wedding venue, we joked they were his wedding shoes but mil2b said 'your not wearing brown are you? i hate brown'
i thought i bloomin hope h2b does want to wear brown, its not upto her wether he wears it or not!!I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0 -
i agree with bubbles but how ever you do it nip it in the bud now while you can still say they are your mother in laws 'Suggestions' and she has not gone and ordered anythng or set her mind on something

Thanks ladies, I'll take that approach... it's not a lie either because I've seen the most beautiful suit in Topman of all places, it'll be a perfect fit as well because its skinny and my OH has a very svelte frame... all the suits his mother are suggesting just drown him because they are 'proper' wedding ones with tails and he just looks ridiculous haha.trying to become a moneysaving student0

Does getting engaged and thinking about and planning your wedding 24/7 make you addicted to chocolate and sweets? And not care about the rest of your meals?
If not, then why the hell have I just eaten 1/2 a bar of milka? I don't even like milka!! This week its been milka, a bag of crunchie rocks, 1/2 pack jaffa cakes and more, I don't even eat that in a normal month!!
Also why on earth did I dream I got married wearing a pale green dress last night?? Help!!I love food, hate waste and have a penchant for sparkly things ::D
Trying to find a work life balance...:rotfl:0 -
I think wierd wedding dreams are par for the course. I keep dreaming my MIL2B has filled the font with sharks/set the church on fire/sits sobbing throughout the whole ceremony and then stands up and calls me an English B**** as we say our vows.... although maybe these are also chocolate induced! I'm trying really hard not to hit the chocolate too hard though, want to still fit in the dress!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
