Out of interest, does the stress wane slightly once you book your venue?

We've got till the end of the week to make a decision & booking, and I'm going nuts - I keep dreaming about stuff, then waking up early & not being able to get back to sleep as my brain is whirring with wedding thoughts! :rotfl:

Thanks Bubbles - hope you find something :)

    Were deciding between 2.
No1 is our favourite all round - we love the venue, plus everything is included.
No2 is nealy as nice - has a similar feel, but looks a little cheaper, although we need to do number crunching to be sure. The catering, table hire, venue hire etc are all sepparate.

My heart says No.1, but my (MSE) head says if No.2 is much cheaper, then it's really worth considering. Both are affordable as our parents are happy to help, but we don't want to take advantage.

OH went on a rekkie to No1 yesterday & No2 today with his Dad for a bit of help.

Yes, it does, but then you start to get excited & can start to plan table settings & stuff!

I had lots of different calculations on a spreadsheet, that added up to show on a front page, different columns for different numbers of guests, different rows for different venues....it was VERY complicated!!

Slightly?! I switched off for about 4 months once we booked the venue! Which turns out not to have been the brightest move when you're only having a 54 week engagement!

If you can afford both I'd say number 1, you'll regret it otherwise from the sounds of it, and you (hopefully) only do this once.

yeah floss i can see me doing that
at the mo ive used half a journalists handbook with scribbles about different venues!!
while were on about spreadsheets and the like, has anyone come across a free online table planner
ive seen the ones you have a free trial then have to pay for
ive tried uk brides and its shockingly hard work, time consuming and may not load after ive inputted 68 guests, i managed 3 and gave up!
