    Am back girls!!

I couldn't face this forum (not just this thread) since OH changed his mind. He then said he hasn't changed his mind, just wants me to hold off on the plans because he doesn't think we can afford it next summer. I'm doing things my way and getting things in bits. Almost have all the money for the dress now, shoes are bought, tiara bought (not having a veil) registry office money is in savings account. Found a lovely little pub where we can all eat, now all I need to do is find someone with a gorgeous car to fit me and my dress into.

My problem now are the bridesmaids. My sister won't have anything to do with me although have asked her if she wants the job of chief bridesmaid so she's off the list. My cousin can't EVER make it up to my house so she's off and my best mate, well, she's driving me bonkers. For the last 2 nights she's kept me up until 3am looking at red BALLGOWNS for her to wear. Some of them are tarty, (low cut with a split up the front all the way to the crotch and backless. Not a good look for a size 20 girl) some are black (OMG) and some are just so OTT she'll show me up. She now wants a full skirt. Won't have her hair in a certain way in case her face looks fat. Won't have a strapless dress incase it makes her arms look fat. She hasn't once helped me look for ideas for my gown. Wish I'd not asked her now!!!

Rant over!! It's one of those days today!!!!!
Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)

Sounds like your OH doesn't believe weddings can be done MSE style! I'm glad you're back with us, and I hope you can prove to OH that you can afford the wedding you want. Your friend sounds like a bit of a nightmare!

Anyone seen any comfy bridal shoes? I can't wear these pointy things as my feet are too wide - anything about 2.5" heel would be perfect. I'm dreading this bit! Got 2 pairs already - 1 too low and 1 too pointy.

Thanks Gleeful (you're the one getting married this time next year aren't you?) She is a nightmare. I showed her my tiara and her comment was "OMG, that's gorgeous, you've got to let me try it on!" Oi, you, it's mine. You wanna get measured for my dress too? Jeez!!

Skint_catt, I've got some shoes on order from littlewoods catalogue. Pretty much all of the reviews say they're fab and very comfy, and that the pictures don't do the shoes justice. You can always send them back (free of charge) if you don't like them. 3" heel, not pointy and very pretty!! They might be cheaper at Very or Marshall Ward, although without a credit account I think they charge for delivery. Can't check right now, the site isn't working!! Hope this helps!!
