Im not having a top table as there is only 20 (ish) people for the wedding breakfast - we will all sit around one table!

That's a really nice idea for a cosy wedding :)

What flowers are you having? Silk or real? I suffer from hayfever so was thinking silk but then i am not sure if it is too expensive!

How severe is your hayfever & do you normally take anything for it?

My sis has really bad hayfever (with asthma) and she had real flowers on the day. I think she spoke to her doctor about getting something that'd keep the sniffles at bay without making her drowsy & she was fine all day.

That said, the only flowers she had were her bouquet & our bridesmaids ones - none in the church or on the dinner tables.

silk flowers arent expensive if you go to dunelm or look at ebay
where did you want them, in a bouquet or decoration?
im just having a bouquet and button holes
the one venue gives us the top table flowers and i think the rooms are pretty enough
what about a lace or organza shrug to cover your shoulders?
    or some camouflage make up
I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p

Im also not having bridesmaids - i have no sisters and only 2 best mates coming - i can't afford dresses/pressies etc.
Tried out a hair style at the weekend - i think i am going curly!
Regarding wedding dresses i had my heart set on a halter neck dress (because it will show off my assets!) but when i went dress shopping i tried on a strapless dress with burgandy in it (D'zage D9941) and fell in love!
Quite concious about my shoulders as i have stretch marks on them - does anyone know a way of covering them up on the day - bearing in mind i do not want a shrug as it is in August!

umm I dont know about how to cover the stretch marks on the day but I have herd fab things about bio oil for reducing them and getting rid of the redness of them (was told they fade). apparently (so my doc tells me) it has been given to burn victims for years to reduce their scarring. I have started using it and some seem less red already (about 5 / 6 weeks since I started using it) my stretch marks are very very bad esp around my belly due to pregnacies but I have seen some improvement already (dont seem to have very stretchy skin :() the down side is it is a little bit pricey...
ohhh its on 3 for 2 in boots at the mo so not to bad on price at the mo.....Im going to have to go to boots now as im running low

as for the hayfever try getting some stronger stuff from the doc and visit the flower shop to see how well it works for you. I had a bad summer with hayfever last year and moaned like mad at my doc so she give me the strongest stuff she could prescribe I still had a couple of sniffles but was sooo much better on the new stuff (am getting it this year too if I get my way)

    Thanks,

Tried bio oil before and i didn't find that it worked, but i could easily try it again - still got some time to try it!
Not too sure about a shrug as im hoping for nice weather and i've looked for one to match by dress but can't find any (dress has burgandy strip all around the top which i don't want to cover up!

Might look on eBay for flowers - i do take hayfever tablets - i don't usually suffer too bad (touch wood!) I only need my bouquet and button holes (possibly for everyone at ceremony - 20ish)

What are you planning on doing with fresh flowers after they have been used?

What about a little faux fur stole - it could cover the nape of your neck, which is better than nothing?
