i've never "met" :D anyone else with one leg shorter than the other - i'm about 5'7" stood on my left leg and 5'6" stood on my right! :p:o wore an insole as a kid, haven't bothered as a grown up but probably should as i often have trouble with my back and i'm sure this is one of the reasons...

My right leg is 1/2 inch shorter than my left, which doesn't sound a lot but it has caused me all sorts of problems. I suffered from back trouble for years and had dreadful sciatica when I was pregnant with DS and on and off since. It took a long time to get diagnosed. Eventually following an xray, it was discovered that I have a slight scoliosis (sp?) - i.e. a twist in my spine that shouldn't be there. When the results came back my GP said that the most common cause is a difference in leg lengths so he got me to hop up on the couch to measure my legs and lo and behold - that was exactly what he found. That was a few years ago now. Who knew that such a little thing - i.e. an insole in my right shoe giving me a 'lift' - would make such a difference to my life. The effect was very quick - my back was a lot better very soon after!

you've got me thinking now - and that doesn't happen much ha ha! :o

i developed sciatica when i was pregnant, too - but it hasn't completely gone away. every now and then i am struck with a bout that renders me useless. maybe i need to revisit the insole. my difference is a bit bigger than yours, though - which makes shoes feel really strange because my foot is not really inside properly at the back. food for thought, though!

happy mother's day, all! xxx (i'm lying in bed for the first lie-in since we got the puppy, awating my cuppa!) :D

    Morning everyone

Happy Mothers Day:A Doesnt look like i'll be getting brekkie in bed this year as they are all still asleep and i have been up from 7. The sun is shining so think i will take myself off for a walk.

Poor DS2 was really sick yesterday with a tummy bug lashing rings round him. He was gutted as DS1 staying overnight and he had really been looking forward to it. He had a good night sleep though so hoping for a more relaxing day today. Anyone doing anything special today?
