But he's not working here it's a forum. No one knows who he is or where he comes from. I don't get why some people look at posts on here and treat it as if it's an official comment from someone as if they're working.

If everyone wrote on here as if they were representing themselves from work you'd get no opinions because no one would be able to write what they actually think just a bland corporate style response.

If it wasnt an official comment, why would he say that worked in Trading Standards?? he would have just commented.

Because he wants people to know what he as a TS officer actually thinks as a person on the matter or whats actually going on inside his head as a TS officer.

Yeah but he's showing where his opinion is coming from rather than being an official response from one. If I remember rightly I'm sure you've said you are a solicitor? or have some sort of legal background? Surely many of your posts on here are what you think as a person. Would you be prepared to disclose your actual firm/place of work on here?

Yes, but being a solicitor is a profession - not just my employment.

If I lost my job, I would still be a solicitor.

When I worked in retail I once had a trading standards officer come to my shop. He was very !!!!ed he had to look at a sign knowing it would have the correct small print just to shut someone up who phoned his office 10 times a day! Like I said earlier, they're probably quite fed up of people thinking everythings illegal just because they can't get their own way!

I think you have told that story before with your ppr'd ai

Just a quick question, which I just wanted to clarify.

Do you mean that he was P1ssed as in drunk? or did you mean that he was p1ssed off??? or did you mean something else entirely?? or are you American?

As in !!!!ed off. I've heard it used frequently enough as just one word of the UK to feel most people would know what was meant.

I have only heard it used as one word by Americans, when used as one word it means drunk (where I come from)
