I presume they meant a real problem that meant only those seats were suitable.
I have to wonder though, if your panic attacks are so bad that you cannot sit next to someone, how do you cope in a very busy cinema, at a very busy time?Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -

You just can't have it all ways. If the only seats left were designated for wheelchair users only then you need to be in a wheelchair to use them. Seems fairly simple to me.
Everyone moans like crazy about people using the disabled parking spaces in supermarkets etc when they are not disabled so where's the difference in using a designated wheelchair user seat when you don't use one?
they arent DESIGNATEDED for wheelchair users, they are for disabled people to use. and seeing as i AM disabled i dont see why i cant use them. there is 2 seats, then a large space infront for any wheelchairs its set back and to the side!DON'T JUDGE ME, YOU DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT TO. i hope your all pleased with yourselves.....
you have all made judgements based on what you think this women's needs are
if there is a two seat and a wheelchair space either side and no-one in a wheelchair was using them then this women should have been allowed to sit there - jsut because she doesnt use a chair doesnt mean she doenst have a real need -
i think its really sad that she has had to come on here and justify hyer need to sit in these seats to most of you on here who probably dont understand becasuse you lack a disabilit

I haven't made any judgements on what I think her disability is. I have merely pointed out that if there are seats designated for wheelchair users then that is who they should be used for. Like it or not all possible disabilities cannot be catered for in public areas. I often feel reading these threads that where once upon a time we used to say people played the 'race' card now it appears that there is a disability one as well.0 -

Actually to look at me you wouldn't know what was wrong with me.
I hate the way people assume and judge me without knowing the full facts, and use their own beliefs as gospel.
I hate the way people give me filthy looks when i pull into a disabled bay, even with badge on display, the comments of well if your not in a wheelchair then you are not disabled.
I hate they way i have to ask for help, then go on to explain why i need the help, and still get told that i am not in a wheelchair so i am not entitled to something..
I hate the way that someone will tell you that you don't have a certain illness, even though they don't have it or qualified to say so (i.e a doctor)
I hate the way people have a go at me because i can't express the right words at the right time, my brain doesn't work properly, yet i get ridiculed for it.
It is true not all disabilities can be catered for in the public, lack of awareness / funding is a problem.
I hate the way people assume i am 'playing' the disabled card just for my own needs.
Can you clarify what Disabled is please.Angel did they not let you in because you are racist?0 -

In the perfect world all disabilities would be catered for. I think orange and now the blue badge has gone someway in adding to the confusion of what is disabled and not. It has a wheelchair logo so people think that all people who have a blue badge has to be in a wheelchair.
My husband is disabled and has problems due to a stroke. He can't walk very far before he tired and in a lot of discomfort. Ideally he needs extra room as he needs to stretch his legs as other wise he gets a pain like someone stabbing or cutting him with a knife.
If faced with the same situation as the OP my options would have been to leave or talk to a manager.
Can you clarify what Disabled is please.
"A person who has a physical or mental impairment in which the physically built environment or social enviroment makes the person disabled. It puts them at a disadvantage."
