I read this as 600 'firefighters' for £14

Goes back to TPA land where these things would be normal.

    TPAx

Me too TPA....I was going to ask if I could exchange one for a Solider - I reckon I could catch one and parcel it up fairly painlessly at work tomorrow.:D

Blimey guys if I could get through 600 firefighters in two years I'd be a very athletic woman. No doubt a soldier in part ex would be a v. pleasant change. No lardy Staff Sgts though. Give me a 20 something grunt any day. In fact if you're feeling generous send a couple of 'em my way. Perhaps we could do an inter-workplace eye candy exchange programme, although whether someone wants an overweight pen pusher or three in part ex for a muscular hunk in uniform is debatable.

Fantasising over. Back to earth with a bump. Its not yet 7am but I have shiny clean freshly mopped floors. Not thorough choice I might add. Had fireworks going off until about 2am in the surrounding villages which spooked puppy leading to a small lake in the middle of puppy land. Whilst I was clearing that up the old dear decided it would be fun to eat grass and then promptly vomited it all back up in the kitchen. Meh. Still thats two less floors to mop today.

Spent £15 at the farm shop on assorted animal feeds and hunts of dead cow. Spent the remainder of the afternoon vacuuming cow from the carpet. At least it seems to have stopped the four legged fiend chomping on chairs.

Haven't been brave enough to chack my bank account but I forsee it being on the verge of entering into the red. Fortunately I have an interest free buffer so as long as I can avoid spending anything else between now and the 15th things are salvagable. Fortunately my pocket money went into my back up account earlier in the week so things aren't as dire as they feel.

Incidentally OH wouldn't bat an eyelid if I purchased the fab shiny tarty boots today however they'd be wasted becasue I simply wouldn't wear them. I don't have anything to wear them with and I can't walk in heels of any description. I look like the drunken bimbo in the taxi queue at 2am who is holding on to everything in the vague hopes of not falling over. Found learning to rollerskate infinately easier.

Could probably find 1001 essential things to do today but I'm leaning towards taking DDs and hounds to the park to stomp through the leaves, chase squirrels and generally do fun autumnal things whilst it isn't raining. Still have rather a lot of tree occupying the quagmire referred to as the lawn... should really do something with that too. Also have space for a couple more bin bags in the bin so should also get a move on with the decluttering. DD2 seems to have got the hang of it. Her room is immaculate. The landing outside her door is not. Thats probably as good a place to start as ever. Have reached stalemate with the welsh dresser. Unless I can find a home for a stack and store box full of unused scalectrix track I can't do any more and whilst e-bay is the obvious and tempting solution OH would not be impressed. May well see if I can generate enough space to wedge it in landrover land with his other dusty toys.

Coming up with some vague ideas for my x-mas pressie list. I'd like some simple candlestick holders to replace the hideous bent candelabra that we aquired when we moved in. Its great in an emergency but hideous the rest of the time. If I have to look at stuff than I want it to be pretty as well as functional. Perhaps thats my project for the [STRIKE]day[/STRIKE] week. Still seem to be going round in circles with the decluttering. Have chucked, sold and rehomed tons of stuff but the place only seems marginally tidier. Marginally tidier is an improvement though.

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggghhh.

    *sigh*

Feel marginally better for that :)

Why is it that an object of furniture measuring a mere 6 feet by 6 feet with two cupboards, two drawers and two shelves can hold so much stuff. Have chucked 2 bin bags full of tat, covered the worktop in e-bayables and having crammed over 100 lightbulbs in drawers (note to self: must resist the 5 for 50p bulb promotions) I still have tons and tons of carp left to cram back or get shut of. Have unearthed a dozen boxes of matches - clearly I'm guilty of shopping on autopilot. Looks like I could be here for quite some time.

Am v. v. bored already and the DDs aren't helping. Can't quite understand why DD2 won' let me chuck 40 piece jigsaw puzzles when shes capable of doing 500 piece ones.

Sidetracked again.... clicky Welsh link for later perhaps that way when the children are instructed by the fireman to greet the female firefighters with "Pnawn da hen warch" I won't feel quite such a plonker.

Feel marginally better for that :)Well that is all right then, would have been worried if you had felt worse:D

Have chucked 2 bin bags full of tat, covered the worktop in e-bayables and having crammed over 100 lightbulbs in drawers (note to self: must resist the 5 for 50p bulb promotions) Oh yes I so understand this issue. You can't declutter them into the bin, but they take up so much space, and you know that they will last YEARS:eek::eek:. Maybe you can write a note on the fridge that says there are light bulbs in the dresser!

I still have tons and tons of carp left to cram back or get shut of. Have unearthed a dozen boxes of matches - clearly I'm guilty of shopping on autopilot. No you WERE guilty of this, but now you are so much more money savvy, you always engage brain when you shop! LOL

Looks like I could be here for quite some time. We will send in a St Bernard with a flask if we havent' heard from you by Wednesday

The answer to this last bit is that she is an emotional hoarder just like her DAD lol:rotfl:. So maybe you need to break her of this habit now! Perhaps you could explain that if you can sell them she can get a percentage as extra pocket money? Works with my two.

I laughed so hard at the antics of the dog with the new kitten, ie the grooming etc, I thought that was absolutely priceless, and I SO hope you have piccies would love to see it! Also well done you for bonding so well with your dog LOL. I love the way she uses you to massage her gums for her awwww, you have to have a lot of faith and trust to put your hand in her mouth. Bless you both!

As for OH well only you can know how much longer you can put up with this, and also put up with the DS's seeing this too....

Good luck with that and thanks for making my smile and laugh out loud and fume all at the same time as I caught up on your thread!
I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

One of my friends made her children do a car boot to get rid of toys before each birthday and christmas and let them keep the profit.

It was a good way of getting them to de-clutter. :)

How would a couple of 20 something trainee soldiers suit - they're young and naive enough to be an easy catch. With a shade more effort I could lay hands on a youngish Capt, or if you prefer the 'grunt' class there are plenty of LCpls, Cpls and Sgt's around (or one of the SSgt PTI's....). :A

Christ I have no idea how I actually get any work done at times...and yet Mr Scoobs still refuses to come see me at work in uniform, nor leave it on so I actually get to see him in it when I finish work. He's sooo mean!

Oooh Scoobs..... what an offer although trainees are quite possibly a bit too young. Drooling over something half my age seems a tad immoral - seems there are perks to being agnostic after all. Will do a head count when I get into work. I can think of a fair few single ladies (and quite a few married ones too) whose week would be muchly improved with the addition of neither an officer nor a gentleman in their lives for the short space of time it takes for the adjutant to notice that his parade ground is a wee bit empty. A couple of dozen should suffice. Will have to see if I can persuade schools coach driver to make a bit of a detour and kill a couple of hours when he deposits the brats at the panto. I forsee a P45 as a christmas bonus if I pulled that sort of stunt. Still v. tempting. Me thinks you need to post the view from your office window.
