I sent them an email last week because I was thinking of buying a phone from them and they replied within a few hours. But after reading this I'm slightly worried about buying from them. Because they give you the cash after 1 month (as compared to other cash-back details which you have to wait up to a year for the full cash-back) I really wanted to use them.
Would it be really suicidal (big risk) to buy from them at the moment?
My alternative is onestopphoneshop. But am I correct in thinking that all their deals require me to stay on the tariff I bought for the full 12 months (rather than downgrading after 6 months?). One deal offers £300 cashback (not any x months of free line rental), does anyone know if this type of deal is a one of cheque or split into different amounts throughout the year? I've emailed them twice in the last 2 weeks with questions but surprisingly they ddidn't reply them.0 -
My cashback is overdue for 2 contracts. Emailed them a scanned copy of 1st bill on 6th of Jan and had a reply back that is was ok. Emailed them a couple of days ago to inform them my cheques are now overdue, no reply from them.
Hmmmm.... they replied within a few hours when you enquire about buying but not on supplying and cashbacks from everyone here. I would stay put and not order anything from them until they sort out all the problems with everyone here. This is not looking good as the cashbacks for me are worth over £500.0 -
Umer you wanna try ringing them, I've had different contracts with OSPS and each took cashback in different ways but they say that you can change after 6 months HOWEVER they may reclaim some of their cashback.
Also waiting on cashback from FC, fingers crossed.2p off is still 2p off!0 -
Tried to phone FC again today – Knew it would be a waste of time and it was but at least their phone lines haven’t been disconnected.
FC’s website is still online but a number of mobiles have been out of stock for some time and others have lost the “Buy” and “Quantity” buttons. I keep looking to see if any new stock has been added.
Good to read that Umer received an email response from FC last week.
There’s still hope.
FC have been trading for a number of years and up to now customer feedback has been really positive. I was impressed, my order was processed and I received my mobiles within the time stated. Switched on, no problem. Checked contract with
T-Mobile, all OK. First bill from T-Mobile was error free. I phoned FC and they answered! I emailed them on three occasions and received replies within 48 hours of sending. Based on my experience I recommended FC to others.
FC is a small company, possibly a one man business and from posts on other forums, it would appear that this has happened before. Illness, vacation, family tragedy etc. If this is the case, surely it makes good business sense to place an explanatory message on the home page of their website.
I’m owed £483 and my cash back cheque is overdue. This could prove to be the most expensive mobile deal I’ve ever entered into.

It would be worth doing some research and having a look at some of the reviews on pages such as:Umer wrote:Would it be really suicidal (big risk) to buy from them at the moment?

You’re posting on the wrong board mate.

The Gumpf at the bottom of your posts is your “Signature”. Many members signatures were corrupted when the change over occurred.
Click on “Quick Links” which can be found under “Welcome TC, You last visited” etc. From the drop down menu select “Edit Signature”. You should then be able to delete the “Gumpf” and replace it with something unique to you.
Happy editing.

Hi all,
Hi TREVORCOLEMAN
I had the same problem.
To get rid of it, click on the 'user CP' heading at the top of any thread (making sure that you are logged in first) and alter the signature in the personal profile section.
Hope this helps
Leo

Well, TC now has two ways of editing his signature.
Two for the price of one – How bad can that be
