I didn't realise until I moved here how much the house - how can I put this - retained the odour of the former owners. Although the carpets didn't look spotless, the house at least smelt neutral. It took several goes though.
A good carpet cleaner probably won't dry your carpet straight away, but it certainly shouldn't be soggy. Mine are dry by the following morning and slightly damp underfoot after use. It took me four cleans to get rid of the smell of the previous people.
Oh goodness! 4 cleans? I've arranged to get another machine today and I'll need to get more shampoo. I did the bit where feral cat has been living with the hand attachment which IS working, and it feels better and smells better there, but can't do the whole house like that.0 -

Sometimes the pin starts in the right place, then randomly moves... and sometimes it moves before I've even saved the location record.
Why not just print screen? Google has a nasty habit of boogering around later with its URL's and API, so even if you get everything working perfectly one day you may wake up to find all the maps on your site boogered.
It's almost as bad as what they do to search engine positions.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

I like my sites to be: set and forget.
There isn't much that goes on round my way to put into the events diary, but it's nice that the map exists automatically, if I had to print screen, crop, then upload and place an image for each event it'd add too much time/hassle to me bothering
I have put a "note" into the settings though, a disclaimer saying it's not my fault if I got it wrong at all - and I said the map's just a rough guide and has moody days.0 -

I have a very acute sense of smell. DH says he would never be able to have an affair because I'd be able to tell as soon as he got through the door. The smell (of the carpets not DH;)) did decline after every use. DH said he didn't notice the smell after the first two. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? But don't you just get acclimatised to any smell? I was in a friend's house this morning which stank heavily of dog, yet in 15 minutes or so it was much less noticeable.
When I was a child, we lived in one house where silage was spread around in the field next door. At first, it was overpowering, but within a few days it became the 'normal' smell.0 -
I do to an extent Dave, but when I moved in here and unplugged the Glade plugins (should have been the first giveaway) I had to go for it as I'd wake up in the night from the smell of the others. I notice every smell though. Not an ideal attribute working in a public library.
I used to go riding in an area where there was a bad silage smell and would cancel my lessons when it got too bad, so I definitely didn't acclimatise to that! Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I used to suffer in a simialr way Viva. TBH since late summer haven't been able to smell much, cold after cold. The only thing I am managing to smell reliably is dog, cat -inside and out, dust, and after it rains here stale ciggies and wet dog. Its not nice! I clean with vinegar because while it smells like a chippy during it dries to smell clean and neutral to me. But I'm fed up of smelling mainly bad things. I'm not even bothering to put perfume on any more, which is a little depressing!
Its also funny how sense of smell changes. I used to use mitchum not because I sweat a lot but because I liked the smell. Nowadays it smells like BO to me: not what you want from deodorant! There are shops I can't go into because of the smell. A lot of things smell like BO or piddle to me, even when they don't to most other people. I wish things smelled of roses and almonds to me more often!
I can smell our neighbours silage sometimes, and its ok now, while its fresh, its the end of winter I'll be hating it, but it won't last long. I like the smell of cows though....rich and fruity.0 -

So he admits to having thought it through .... what if you get a cold? Can he have a quickie?
Maybe he's got a whole raft of crafty plans going on in his head.0 -
I was walking down the road last night and smelt an overpowering smell of cannabis, even though I was the only person within 200 yards, nobody else was about, there was a bit of a gentle wind blowing and there were no houses on my side of the road.
"Must be one hell of a cannabis factory just round the corner" I thought.0 -

They busted a cannabis factory near where my brother lives. It took one of those helicopters with the thermal imaging cameras to fly over before they realised. Everyone knew that there was - shall we say a herbal smell emanating from said house - but nobody realised it was what it was and reported it.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
