If anyone brewed coffee just before my arrival, I would be out of the door sharpish....or would be vomiting on the carpet.

Oooh dear Sue, how fortunate you're settled! :)

You never know though, I could win the lottery and be in the market for a house :D!

Coffee is the bane of my life, especially since our council has seen fit to allow us to have 3 coffee shops in our small highstreet...I can't go around the town now without feeling completely icky.

Dad at times forgets I can't drink coffee and will make me one which usually has a rather rapid and eek impact on me....and him because mum will then tell him off.:rotfl:
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Oooh, I just discovered that someone I know was made a peer on Friday. He'll be happy, and his wife (who always backed him 100%) will be a lady.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Not that she isn't already a lady, ofc, but it's nice to be called one.

Can someone explain about calories in bran please? According to our packet of bran it has 120 calories per 100 gms. I thought the whole idea of bran was that it is not digested, so you don't get any calories? So, is the 120 calories a wrong assessment, or can we digest bran, but just to a limited extent? By wrong, I mean that the calories are there in the bran, and a cow could get the calories out but we're not equipped to.

I dunno, but is the bran you're eating pure flakes of bran or is it bran flakes cereal...that'll probably be mixed with other stuff. I used to eat a lot of bran flakes cereal when I was slim and do reckon on a practical basis its pretty near holy!

The figure on the packet is produced via a scientific test, where basically they set fire to the food, and work out how much heat it produces. The test doesn't measure how much of this potential energy is actually digested.

The general one such as "Why do you want to work here?" or "What are your best strengths".

I had to buy a book to work these type of questions out, because my natural tendancy is to tell the truth, which is normally "I don't want to work here, but I need the money" .

The one I hate is "if you get the job, where would you see yourself in 3 years time"? I find it hard to get the right balance between being suitably ambitious and not sounding like I'm after their job (or wanting to leave;)).
