On a lighter note, how much is acceptable to spend on a skirt?

Depends on how many wears you will get out of it, whether its for a special event and whether there are additional costs involved (eg specialist cleaning). If you'll get lots of wears (eg once a week for foreseeable future) divide price by that. If it's for a special occasion, divide the cost by the number of other people's photos it will appear in.

It may suddenly be very good value indeed (and welcome to the world of viva maths)...

I have fallen utterly, irrefutably in love with a v. expensive skirt.

    I want it.

I have spent the last two days berating myself and not reaching for my credit card.

I now understand the pixels on the DFW board.

I spend loads on clothes but this would be utterly ridiculous........

EDIT Sorry about this post, I thought we would talk about clothes for a bit then Sue would come home from The vets and we would sit, all folded hands and heartbreak.
    Time obviously my forte.......

If you can justify it to yourself then there is no price limit :A

Um, well in my case... nothing... but, in your case you should get a handsome male to buy it for you using your feminine wiles, whatever they are.

It'll only be £650 in the sales.

I keep telling myself, wait for the sales.

But it is sooooooo pretty and I want it now

If I don't buy another item of clothing until after Christmas, I can afford it.
