night time walk, torchlight, pair of scissors. Very satisfying. We have a slug infestation and buy the eco-friendly blue pellets. No idea what the difference is as it still contains metaldehyde.

If making traps, don't waste beer, they are attracted to the smell of yeast so just get some yeast and stir it up with some warm water. The problem is emptying the traps....

The other option is nematodes, I'm getting a bulk order. Sprinkle it on with a watering can and watch exploding slugs. They definitely work but cost. I think it's getting to the point where it's cheaper for me to buy vegetables from waitrose than to grow them myself. :rotfl:

I hadn't thought of nematodes. It might be worth it you know. Thanks. Misskool, I am btw meaning to send you a PM...I'm just side tracked ATM....:o

GRRRRRRRRRR. Mortgage brokers now saying 25% cash down isn't enough on what we wanted to bid on today. We really, really need to keep some cash back to a: start building and b: live somewhere in the mean time. :( It all works out very nicely on multiples too. :( Not sure what to do about it now. :(
