;-0.....that's outrageous. What about PM 'ing someone like Conrad?
It's so gutting that the bar is raised but in another way...1st crazy high prices and now, more restricted lending.
By somewhere to live do you mean whilst a new house is built? A moby home? Is that practical? PN has been researching it recently.
Just seen on the other thread about changing background. Instead of buying photoshop, use GIMP. It's based on photoshop so will do most of the same things. As it's open source, there's plenty of web tutorials.
If you want, you can send me some stuff. I have an old CS2 suite to tweak stuff with. Unless you want loads, then time to start learning0 -
Hello sjay! :hello:
You been away?
Or just having a life?
No, no big swing to Labour, that I've noticed.
Round our way, it's v cute, DD1 is getting really into the election. She borrowed OH's election special bit of the paper to take to bed and keeps asking us earnestly about our voting intentions. About like a young MORI pollster.
She's already said she'd quite like to be an MP (if she's not being a fashion designer, or whatever else it is this week). She'd be v scary - bit like Maggie - only hopefully left-wing. I'm doing my best. But boy, does she know her own mind.

lir, sounds like you may be needing a commercial loan or a business loan rather than a straightforward mortgage?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. DIYed anything good?
Re first Liberal PM, I suspect Gladstone would take umbrage with you, if he were around to do so...
No idea which way her politics will swing - not sure if she'll end up right wing just to 'rebel', or left wing because actually we're right.
I don't remember being remotely interested in politics at her age. Must take after her dad .0 -
Wow, left wing- future first Liberal PM? :rotfl:

Yikes, thanks for noticing my absence, but I'm fairly sure its been less than a week since my last post :rotfl:
- you know you spend way too much time online when people notice you've gone for like 5 whole days
No nothing major, just general tidying up, since I've decided I will now live in this house, under-occupying, til I'm about 87, I thought it was time to get round to those odd jobs I've been putting off
Everyone OK? Sorry to hear about the mortgage hurdles lir....
Seems the public sector bashing is picking up, as are the disagreements in HPs- Contributary factors I guess I mean. Labour electioneering capturing my attention, I've stopped drinking.... strange times, happy days, or summinWe cannot change anything unless we accept it. Hi all.Carol i would be proud that your daughter has the intelligence to be interested. Me, well I am banjaxed to know who to vote for. My family has been in Labour politics for 100 years but blooming heck, how do I vote for this lot. I would rather set fire to my pubic hairs and put it out with a shovel than vote Tory. Liberals, um, hmmm, yea OK.
Goodness knows how we will vote. I have totally lost the plot where it comes to politics now.0 -

It's loads though.
The main problem is costing my time so cropping a few pics in the evening was OK and for specification sheets for factory, wholesale lists and in house presentations, my microsoft pic mngr does fine; crop, enhance and resize.
'
It's for the webshop and, due to some stuff that's just ''going off'' right now, I have zero budget for pro pics.
Every penny is now sunk into upscaling our production and stock levels as we open in 3 new towns next Month.
Something else is being discussed but TBH i am too scared to do it.:(
I haven't even had the time to get the new styles on there and, then 5 sold out straight away and it's not good...not good at all.
Problem is my job is waaaay too big for just me at the mo,,,,but, if I sort it OK and outsource a lot of the technical stuff like grades it frees up time....but my v nice webman has offered to do each pic for £6 each (takes 10 mins) which would be resize, and transp the background.
.....but I need about 7 per style (and 40 styles). as thinking he could do front page and other views I could do?
I did have a funny chat the other week with someone scarily impt who said 'Of course, you will want to discuss it with your team'' and I looked down at Ginger to see what he thought.:o
Other things at the mo are things like the cost of space. A lot of things I would prefer to do in-house but they require space and staff and what with all the new regs and NI and whatnot, I want to employ the barest minimum and only employ in the direct retail.
In our sector we have to be flexible as you can fly high for 3 months and die the next season..so we need to be able to shrink back down really quickly whilst we develop another look or whatever.
We recently valued my time on all the things I do and I have to do far more development (the highest value) and not waffle around on Ebay (so have done a bulk clearance instead to an ebay seller I know), not spend 3 hours on grading (going to be sent out and also put on disc) ....so much low value (but important-ish) stuff. I sometimes use it to procrastinate too tut tut
I downloaded DS's one but couldn't see transp.
Oooops long post0
