Auto Cashback from Mobiles.co.uk

Hi Folks

Has anyone any experience of Autocashback from Mobiles.co.uk?

I got a phone deal from mobiles.co.uk with the £260 autocashback promo on 1st Feb. The autocashback is supposed to be sent out by cheque after 28 days - I emailed customer services today who replied saying that cashback was 'processed' on the 15th Feb but to allow 21 days for delivery!!!.
Now I know the 21 days are not quite up yet, but I am getting just a tad twitchy........

Autocashback requires no claim and as title suggests is supposed to be automatic. Should I be feeling nervous or can anyone put my mind at rest. £260 was the big incentive to take the deal in the first place. Ta in advance

    Hi there,

They'll pay. They seem rather slow in paying the AUTO-cashback but they do pay in the end.

    Speaking from experience.

Also, apparently they are moving to a BACS payment system away from cheques so it should be faster in theory.

    Hi there,

We have to wait 14 days from despatch before requesting the cheque (to ensure no return has been actioned), hence the 15th in your timeline above. Unfortunately once requested cheques can take up to 28 days to arrive as the process is necessarily a complicated one (as you can appreciate, paying out tens of thousands of pounds each week means we need some strong controls in place) and the cheque itself is printed and sent by a 3rd party Secure Printer.

As mentioned we are working on moving to BACS payments in future, to avoid exactly these kind of jitters :)

    Hope this helps,

Thanks for that. As I mentioned before the £260 was a big incentive to give my custom to mobiles.co.uk (although the deal itself was also very good).
Based on your timeframe my cheque should be with me by 8th March. If for whatever reason it does not arrive, can I PM you or Post here For your attention to look into and advise accordingly?

I know a lot of MSE readers will be interested on this outcome as well as potentail Mobiles.co.uk customers looking to avail of the autocashback promotions. Many Thanks

Of course, no problem. If you could update when you get the cheque that will be very useful for all.

    Hi Nosh86

Hope you get paid soon. Would you mind posting on this thread when/if you get your cheque? It will help me and others get an idea of how long past the mobiles.co.uk advised date the cheques actually arrive.. Cheers

There are plenty more threads on this dealer which should provide more than ample warning. It is good that you have done at least some research before taking the plunge.
