Hi peeps
been MIA for a couple of daysi`ve had two days off and really need to make the most of it and so far so good
Lovely and sunny here again today bit colder than yesterday though, yesterday i managed to plant 4 tubs of onions and 6 tubs of early potatoes so fingers crossed for those, the onions that i planted last year have rotted away as the soil was too damp so i`ve pulled those up and reused the compost for the spuds.
This morning i`ve been out walking with the houndies in the sunshine, its such a huge mood lifter and we enjoyed it very much. Both houndies are now asleep although younger houndie has been following me around earlier. She will probably come down the garden with me soon.
I`m just waiting for a cake tin to cool before i wash it in the hot water thats in the sink and then i`m off down the garden, i have all my strawberry runners to pot up from last year and there are loads so it will take some time.
Lots off goodies are cooling in the kitchen, i woke early and made a good start, so far i`ve six portions of chilli, a fruit loaf, a batch of hobnobs and a lemon drizzle cake YUM! i need to keep my paws off them though as they need to last a while. I shall freeze some of the hobnobs so that they don`t all disappear when DH arrives home. The slowcooker is on too with a bacon joint inside which smells delicious
JackieO - Hope that you`re feeling better today, how`s your arm?
Jayward - ((((HUGS))))
Butterfly Brain - Great news re baby :j
Csarina - An old sky box works as a freesat box if you have one, our sky subscription ends in a few days and then we shall be on freesat.
Donny Gal - Nice to see you posting, i love reading about your hols.
Off to wash the cake tin now and then spend a while in the garden
Have a super sunny afternoon peeps.

EDIT Just realised that i`ve not eaten yet  toast firstPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Sorry everyone this as just a totally pointless thread but had to show my joy.
Woke up this morning to a beautiful sunny icy morning after being up all night coughing at the crack of dawn. There in the background was sound of birds singing and swooping around (instead of the usual traffic noise) Made me feel so happy inside.
As i was putting the rubbish out, whilst scaring out of the yard with the kitties 1 and 2, it dawned on me how warm it was.
So for the frost time since November last year i actually have a line FULL of washing :j
I know seriously sad but hey ho
Hi kezlou - come and join us on the 5 OS Pleasures a Day Thread - we've always got room for one more.

I wasn't certain whether to post, but as I don't have any RL friends to talk to......
I just had a letter from the Anglian Wolf Society; Alpha Female Sefka has died.
I can't stop crying - I knew her well; she was a sweet girl, always came up to the fence to have her sides scratched, and I cannot help but grieve for her passing.
I know this will seem daft to many of you, but you have to understand I am ill at ease around people, and have always found it much easier to relate to furred friends.
I need to get myself together and get on with some housew*rk; but I fear it will be with a heavy heart today.:(
Please don't anyone say "it was just an animal" - she may have had 4 legs and fur, and not even lived here, but I don't have any furbabies of my own, and I loved her.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hi peeps
Csarina - An old sky box works as a freesat box if you have one, our sky subscription ends in a few days and then we shall be on freesat.
Tell me more!!!! how do you use it as a freestat box???? will it do the same as the sky box and record a programme whilst you are watching something else?????
You can send me a PM of you like and explain all, I am interested.Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Aww LW thats so sad. I'm the same with animals, I much prefer them to people. I'm still grieving for my cat, people don't understand unless they have been there. Just because she went out a lot didn't mean I loved her any less.
She wasn't just an animal. She was special to you whether she lived with you or not. It's not daft.
You don't need to get yourself together, you need time to grieve for her. The housework will still be there tomorrow;)
Sending you huge ((((((HUGS)))))) You know where I am if you want to talk about her. xxxxSealed Pot Challenge Member NO. 853 :j0 -
Oh Lamewolf
I can totally understand how you feel. Like you, since I have been ill, I have become very withdrawn socially and my animals especially my dogs ARE MY LIFE. Molly and Poppy spend the whole day with me - wherever I am - they are constants and comfort and unconditionally loving and non judgemental. Would it not be possible for you to have a furry friend at home? I know they are a tie and like me need help walking them but is it not a possibility? It doesnt matter that she did not live with you - she was with you x
Lots of love and hugs xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Aw, lamewolf, I really feel for you, I too love animals and I can't bear to think about losing my beloved dog.
What a shame that you can't have a furry of your own, have you thought about fostering a dog from one of the rescue places? I know it's hard when you're a bit of a crock like I am, but my dog seems to know when I'm not too good and is a great comfort to me.
Sending you love and hugs, I shall be thinking about you and your furry friend.0
