Selling house - Agent has sent no viewers

Ive looked at the pix a few times now (and the new one too) and Ive thought about it..... For me the reason why I wouldnt be tempted to ask to see it is the fact it looks very sombre. Theres no character to the front elevation, its bland and uninspiring. Im not talking about the miles of gravel but the house itself. It just doesnt look inviting at all. Doesnt everyone want a house that looks pretty or striking? Something that will tell you apart, something that will make people go 'wow, Id love to live in his house'?
This house doesnt have that wow. Shame really, but I dont think theres much you can do about it.0 -
I suspect/hope that the new agent have just put up one picture for now while they finalize the particulars. The OP was only just organising this, so they may have done a drive by, taken a photo, and will send over a photographer soon.
Lets hope so!
I think the house could have 'wow', it just needs to be presented better. The OP doesn't seem to realise that buyers have a stunning lack of imagination, and need things spelled out for them sometimes. They worry if things will fit too - when it is clear if you have some furniture in the rooms. You have seen on Location location where they lie down on the floor in bedrooms to see if a bed will fit it!
Lovely fixtures help sell a house once you see it, but I don't think they will help you actually get viewers if your photos are this bad. And no floor plan is an absolute killer for me. I wouldn't even bother if they don't have one.0 -
What a nightmare, Fred I hope you are ok, something about this worries me.......Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0

It sounds to me as if Fred has set the price at what they 'need' to get back for the build rather than what it is actually worth.
Sleaford / South lincs border is a difficult one as over there you can pick and choose very nice properties around the £300K mark and as you have to have a car out there to get anywhere anyway its no big deal to drive a few miles for a better property.0 -

The house went back on the market with a new agent, and a new Rightmove listing page a while back.
Noticed the asking price has been reduced by £10K yesterday.. to £285,000.

Better pictures, but I'm afraid with the shiny floor, white walls and white doors, the kitchen still looks like a mortician's parlour.......0

Another £20k off and it might be competitive.Act in haste, repent at leisure.

IMHO the house just looks so cold and unwelcoming. You think they would've put some flowers in the kitchen etc on the day they took the photos.
Also what's the deal with bedroom 2?! What a ridiculous shape, surely they would've been better off squaring the house and making it a rectangular/square room.
