Selling house - Agent has sent no viewers

The photos are dreadful. The house shots should be taken with a fish eye lense to show the whole room. The garden shot needs to be taken when the back garden isn't in shade, I suggest one shot of the garden from the back looking at the house and the other shot from the house looking out to the garden.
Make sure the house shots are taken when the sun is shining through the windows to make the rooms look bright. It may be that you need to take photos at 3 different times of the day.0 -

You need to understand one thing: if I gave the pictures to the EA, they would always have an excuse for their failed marketing efforts:
"You forced us to use your pictures, it's your fault"
Isn't that what they say when people tell them what asking price to put on the property?
"You told us to overprice the property, how do you expect us to sell the house like that?"[/QUOTE]
And they've proved to you by the number of people queueing to view your house that their photos are better huh?Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -
For goodness sake, I have never come across someone so stubborn on a site in which they have saught help.
It appears as though you've asked for help, and then put your ear muffs on, sat in the corner and sulked whilst not being able to appreciate the decent quality of advice given.
IT IS NOTHING TO DO WITH THEIR TASTE.......IT'S TO DO WITH YOUR RELUCTANCE TO RECEIVE ADVICE!
I have said it about ten times, I came here to discuss the subject of dealing with estate agents and other people's experiences selling properties during the past months. If people give opinions and advice about design and spending money, fine it could be beneficial for others.0 -

That's the thing, they said they are coming on Monday at 10:30 to take the photos again, instead of saying we'll go pop-in when the weather is sunny to take nice pics. I bet that if it's a foggy day they will take the photos and say they have done it. Here we go again, I may have to tell them their job once more.0 -

The title of your post; "EA has sent no viewers" - so people have suggested WHY other people might not want to view it..... are you getting some kind of consensus from the comments?
What would you say the consensus of the group is?0 -

"dealing with estate agents" includes sending your better quality photos.
"other people's experiences" includes the advice you have received regarding staging and photos etc.
Wall.....Head......Bang.
I am resigned to come to the conclusion that you will never listen to anyone else but yourself, and have only come here to look for comments that back up YOUR opinion. To that effect, I hope that no-one else wastes time, like I am right now, replying to you any further.I can take no responsibility for the use of any free comments given, any actions taken are the sole decision of the individual in question after consideration of my free comments.
That also means I cannot share in any profits from any decisions made!;)0 -
I don't work in property but I love 'posh' houses and looking at them and will give you my opinion, not that you will take any notice like you haven't for anyone who knows what they are talking about.
There is nothing interesting shown...nothing!
The front of the house puts me off it instantly,it stands out a mile and doesn't look in place. The mixed colours are awful.
The interior is far too bare.
The colours make it boring, there is nothing to add just a little interest inside. It's too clinical with the colour, the gloss of the tiles and nothing adding more colour or texture to it.
When looking at the photos the only one that said anything to me was the photo of the sink in the bathroom, then I saw the rest of the bathroom and it's as dead as a dodo.It just doesn't go (and even the sink isn't great by the way)
The driveway looks like somebody has plonked huge amounts of sand on top of growing grass.
You need to do something to it.You want to sell the house the make it interesting rather than the dull, boring 'space' it looks.Because it looks nothing like a home.
At the very least put some bloomin accessories in it somewhere!
Sorry, but I honestly can't see anything interesting or tempting about it whatsoever!
Oh,and if I was you I would seriously do something with the front.Give it a garden, define a path and drive, put some pot plants out...ANYTHING!Just seeing the front is enough to put many people off,the least you could do to attract interest is put something attractive there giving it feel and design and hope it takes attention away from the external look of the houseIf women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -
I looked at the pictures of your house before anyone else had commented.
Now I could never afford this house but I too found what put me off even wanting to view would be;
1. The Garden at front looks like either sand or dead grass. Nothing made me think I would like to view
2. Dark window frames, blue door and white garage
3. Inside looked at shiny floor tiles and could only think of how much it would cost to remove them as they are a nightmare underfoot.
4. Also empty house a big no no.
Sorry but I too would like to see this house dressed with first port of call being a welcoming front garden.0 -
