Anybody know about the £8 single fare from Leeds to Edinburgh/London promotion with the YEP.

Id love to go to London, just wondering what the dates/times are like.

    Thanks

Any chance of anybody helping me out?

I live in London and I was told last night I have a wedding to attend this Friday (29th) in Manchester and I need to be home Sunday. (31st)

London Euston to Manchester Picc (Arrive around 11am +/- a hour or so)

    and Return

Manchester Picc to London Euston (Arrive around 2pm +/- a hour or so)

For one person and I have no rail cards, could someone please help me out?

Try this, splitting at Stoke on Trent and travelling by London Midland trains takes a bit longer but a lot cheaper from the East coast website

London Euston to Stoke on Trent depart 07:46 arrive 10:15 advance single £11
Stoke on Trent to Manchester Pic depart 10:48 arrive 11:28 Off Peak Return £12.50

Manchester Pic to Stoke on Trent depart 10:35 arrive 11:12 return part of Off Peak Return £0
Stoke on Trent to London Euston depart 11:59 arrive 14:53 advance single £11

    Total £34.50 Return

To get the London Midland fares, search using above website and 'show slower routes' then tick 'London Midland Only' and update

If you look on the East Coast Website, for the dates you provided you can get cheap Advance singles from £15.60 (including East Coast 10% online discount) each way, Return £31.20

    Ahh... I see it now...

For those of us who do not live in Yorkshire, YEP = Yorkshire Evening Post.

    Have you seen their article?

  • The Virgin Trains WEB site has a new look.

The old site had a link to a 10% off advance fares when booking using a Virgin Credit Card special offer.

The new site does not have a link and the main Virgin Credit Card site does not mention the offer either.

But go to the link below and the offer on Advance Fares using a Virgin Credit card has gone up from 10% to just over 20%. £34 1st Advance fare for £27.45.

Kerching!! even cheaper 1st class travel. Just make sure if you will be travelling on a Virgin Super Voyager train you are booked in the proper 1st class carriage not the converted standard carriage to 1st class. Clearly demand for 1st class travel is on the up. Usually 1st class carriages are downgraded to standard class to cope with demand, not the other way round.
