  • Good afternoon everyone,

Having a quick coffee break and catching up on thread.

Jackie O - hope your arm feels better. Yes! to the G&T.

Becky 2812 - congrats on the promotion.

Elona - fingers crossed re DD's interview.

Kitchen deep cleaned this morning, floor mopped.
The housing association were insulating the loft this morning and have been inspecting the flats to see what else they can do to prevent heat loss. We are in the process of changing electricity suppliers as the new tank we had put in last year isn't compatible with lower rates of electricity, so now we can go on the economy rate. Hurrah!

I need to do a menu plan and shopping list for tomorrow, and sort budget out as pay day tomorrow.

No idea what's for tea, but might make a crumble as there's apples that need to be used up.

Well, back to work. Hugs to all in want or need.

    xxx

Hi everyone, I made some chicken soup on sunday evening with the carcass and stripped the meat off it. It has been covered in the fridge since then. Its wednesday today - will it still be ok to eat?

It should be ok if its well heated before serving. I did my carcass Sunday and made the soup (well stew due to overload of lentils :rotfl:) yesterday and it was fine, Piping hot though :D

The dogs just had the small amount that was left as I didnt want to keep it any longer now though :D

    candygirl- how/with what? Please :)

Well….the to-do list has nearly been completed, didn't get any baking done or the ironing, the rest is to be done here on the pooter so will be doing that after I get this posted. Can someone tell me, please, is it just me or do things just take longer the older you get? Seems nowadays that once I plop down for the evening, if I have a run-throuogh of what I've done during the day it seems to be about half as much as I would have gotten done 10 years ago. Worst thing is I feel I'm going along at a good pace! I'm not 50 quite yet, whatever will I be like in another 10 years?!

Think I need to win the lottery as I can see hired help is the only way forward.

It's gotten awfully cold out just the last hour or so, I've put the CH on but may turn it down and put the gas fire on in the lounge if that's where we'll be, it gets very warm very fast! The countdown is on, only 2 more days now until the park opens. Wish peace and silence could be 'absorbed' or banked up for desperate times!

Tea will be scrambled egg and toast tonight and possibly an early one with my book and a couple of mags.

Hope everyone has a nice evening.

I know what you mean about the time thing, it goes so fast and I dont seem to do half what I want Im like you not quite 50 :rotfl: but I used to clean my house from top to bottom, bake and play with my DS's before my OH come home from work when I was in my 20's, now Im lucky if I can clean down stairs and make tea :rotfl:

I moved here 4 yrs ago from Norfolk and get so homesick for the sea.

Have a great peaceful evening :D

Glad it's not just me then! :) I do love it here, but funnily enough, my favourite holiday spot is Derbyshire . . . I like to think of Chatsworth as my second home HSyes3.gif I just let those other people stay there whilst I'm away :D
