you just reminded me to boil an egg for Abis nursery tom!
the whole school are also having a BIG breakfast, all the farms from round about are donating their produce and all the parents have been invited to go and have breakfast with their children! should be good fun

wow £5 that is great. I have just looked on ebay nothing under £20 within 50 miles of me but that is still a good price. I will have to keep looking for a bit to see if one comes up.

ds1 took some eggs that he made into chicks for the school comp. Well i felt quite bad for our poor effort as you should have seen some of the mega creations people had made. At least i can say Ds did all of it where's there is no way most of the 4 year olds did those things. We haven't had time what with H being so ill so i think he did really well and wwill print him off a cert on the comp.

I thought he did a brill job but then i am bias. He put the eggs and colour tabs in warm water to make the eggs change colour put google eyes on, pipe cleaners on for feet, feathers and piece of triangle card for a beak. The only thing i did was cut the beak out and of course boiled the egg.
And the winner was the teachers pet.

Does anyone else find the same children/child gets picked for everything. This one boy who won the comp has been the groom in a wedding they did. ( done proper in church bit odd 4 /5 year olds learning about getting married) He has had the school pet home my ds hasn't and is really upset about it. He got the leads in the xmas and harvest plays, gets sweets from the teacher for helping her/doing good work etc, had the best writter award, and several certificates for good work/being good, helping. Gets to hold animals that come into the school,( they had owls and ds1 really wanted to hold one but he didn't get picked) and is on all the school web-site pics doing all the above etc

It doesn't help that the mother always brags about it all. What did you say? Me bitter? of course!. I want my child to shine too.

I forgot to say how sneaky OH was this morning!!!

The last two morning Elliot has woke at 9am and Ive got up with him and fed him and then he's had awake time so I've stayed awake with him and left OH in bed

Well this morning I slept through Elliot waking up (ive no idea how he has mega lungs lol) so OH got up with him fed him then came upstairs and woke me up and gave me a coffee lol

SO while it was nice to get a coffee lol I personally would have let him sleep and madehim a coffee when he woke lol

elastigirl - we had a bit of this at DSS old school. He asked me to help him with an art project because he wanted it to be 'really' good so the teacher would pick it to go on the wall. He had never had anything chosen for the wall and every time he just thought it was because he wasn't good enough and he tried even harder next time

A quick word with the teacher did the trick - she said she didn't know that he had never had anything on the wall and put some stuff straight up.

aww elasti that's not good, I'd speak to the teacher all innocent like just in case it's like mfd's situation (doesn't sound like it though! is the teacher a friend of the boys family or something?)

Kids are so gross, ewwwwww.

I have Ellie staying over tonight, and she went for a poo, and it wouldn't flush and apparently that's really funny to Keira and her, and there was great amusement and laughing going on because this bit of poo wouldn't flush away _pale_

Keira just ran through and was like "OMG I DID IT FLUSHED AWAY CAUSE I DID IT REAL REALY HARD MUMMY COME SEE!!!!"

DH has just pranged another bus and is already on a written warning :cool: He'll be a right moody git till he gets an 'interview' about it, which takes ages down there.

No the teacher doesn't know him personally. However he is the eldest in the class he was 5 in the school summer hols so there is a good 7 months between him and my son, so maybe he is just more able to do things than the others but still they all should be treated equal. He is a right goody 2 shoes an angel around the teacher and his mum but a right pain in the bum when not.

We mentioned a few bits at last parents evening but she is a funny teacher she wriggles out of everything and just said she wasn't aware of it and that it is pure fluke and chance that my ds never gets picked for anything. I asked her if he could have the school pet this week as his bday is coming up but i bet he doesn't get it. It's not a real life pet btw it's a teddy but you have to write a diary and take it places and take photos of you with him and put them in the diary.
