Buttons, was she still attatched to you? It's better to wait till the cord has stopped pulsating before cutting it so they do tend to plop em on you and they don't have to breath till the cord has been cut.

Still, it would be nice to have all that explained first!

No I think it had been cut by that point actually, as I remember them asking Idris' if he wanted to do it and he was like "URGHHHH" and then they put her on my chest. So I presume they just done it?

Who knows. But yes, explaining things would of been nice, think they just thought I was some chavvy 18yo and not worth the bother tbh!

Arent you meant to blow them rather than boil? sister did this with some and then they smelt bad cos they went off after a while.. am jealous though cos I was gonna do this with Henry for horticultural show on Saturday and now they have cancelled it due to lack of flowers!!!

Nah they were just totally looking down on me, kept telling me to "grow up" because I was crying, but they weren't giving me any pain relief!! I went into hospital at 8am, and didn't get any gas and air until 8/9pm!!

"It doesn't hurt yet" HOW THE HELL DID THEY KNOW! YES IT DID!!!

Then I got "tuts and hmmphs" when I said no to a room of students coming into watch me give birth. Sod them.

Darn i am gutted. Someone on freecycle 2 mins down the road from me offered a leap pad learn n groove activity station and i was just pipped to the post by the first one to reply apparently emails were only mins apart. I never offer things to the first person i don't think it's fair and doesn't give anyone else a chance.
Has anyone got one? do you recomend me buying one? Are they really worth the price?

kindof - I really think it doesn't matter! DH plays his video games with Finn there and we watch whatever we want on TV. We also still swear but that's going to stop soon

Sami - yeah you are right about the CS, when I spoke to teh MW at the hospital about a next child she said becuase of the labour I had they would monitor me more this time and give me more scans to check on size and position of baby so we could make a decision if I wanted to go natural or not and if my 3degree tear heals ok then there is no reason why I cant go natural again (apart from the fact that thought terrifies me lol)

I too have watched baby programmes from home and health channel and a baby died they obv didnt show you it but you followed the woman through her pregnancy and tehn were told the latest scan revelled baby died its was sad and I cried a lot, no warning at all

I had a huge debate about this with OH actually. I kept (a boiled) one for twenty years without any problems and another for a number of years but not so many. We are only intending them to be a throw away gift though and are going to tell the recipients they are hard boiled so that they can make their own choice on how long to keep them. I figure the practicalities of a two year old painting them and then transporting them means hard boiled eggs are more likely to stay in one piece.

I'd just decorate some eggs anyway if I wanted to - you can always get Henry to do multiple eggs and then have OH "judge" them so that there's still a competition.
