Tigs - when we went to swimming 'lessons' (they help you with the babies if you want them too or they just let you splash with them if you want) we ended up in armbands because the floaty seats didn't allow Benjamin enough access to the water and he kept trying to throw himself away from me!!

We don't dunk (because I am not sure what the point of it is unless you are progressing to free-swimming :o) but I do always make sure he gets water splashed on his face and over his head so he is not afraid of it.

Our lessons are very structured. They are only council run too so not too dear.

Yay for Splash Splash! Its funny what they call things

The ice cream van is still referred to as themeenieman in our house cos thats how DD used to say the ice cream man!

IIRC I think it was about 4/5 weeks before we were dunking babies, the instructor did it the first couple of weeks then the parents were let loose.

Csh, yes that makes sense. Basically get the baby into a routine whereby they expect something on the third beat of whatever count you use. I may start using that for head wetting when bathing him, and then when carrying him into the shower.

    Ta everyone :D

Glam it's on Supersize vs Superskinny on 4, i didn't see it cos my Tesco order came and i had to re-arrange the freezer to make it all fit :o

They blimmin substituted the meal deal cheesecake so overcharged me £4.29 and i've probably spent that amount on hold for 20 mins... Only for me to get cut off :mad::mad: Do they sort it via email does anyone know?
