I've just bunged them in the washing machine Elle... They don't seem to get as dirty as normal cotton ones though bizzarley!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... Krystal, surprisingly, I'm ok using the pocket on those ones because liquid can't sit in them. Super-bibs!
Elle, bung em in the washing machine. You can tumble dry them too but they come out the washing machine dry anyway.
ETA, I noticed that too Krystal. You can wipe them with a damp cloth and use them for the next feed too.0 -
Dumb question time, but do babies take to swimming okay? Do they automatically hold their breath underwater, that kind of thing? Bear in mind he'll be 10m actual, 7m corrected by then, if that has any bearing on automatic behaviour.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

Ours are just plastic backed white cheapies (10 for £3) from Asda. Constantly thrown in the wash and easily replaced..
Hmm.. come to think of it though, maybe we need some funky ones for "eating out"...
Tigs, Rhys has never been dunked. We've held him in the water and he's sat in a floating baby seat and been pushed aboutHe was six months corrected then.

Tigs, apparently that's the best time to introduce them to water! You wouldn't dunk a baby underwater the very first time, no, but swim classes & stuff have you work up to where your baby will be able to go underwater and know what to do. Finn's been to the pool several times and he doesn't do much (still quite young) other than just look politely confused, but I splash his face with water to get him used to the sensation and we have done the brief dunk under or 2.
But there's another baby I see there all the time that looks around 6-7 months and he kicks around and laughs and giggles at the water quite a lot and his mom dunks him under too. I have no idea what it takes to get them to properly "swim" underwater though.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

the first time I dunked J I had to blow in his face really hard and dunk him. The blowing makes them hold their breath.
NMS said they built up to it, by pouring small amounts of water over the face and saying a word so they associate the word with the water coming. Build up the amount of water
I'm a horrible mum and just dunked him!
Majos screaming at midnight last night and again before bed - he sounds like a squealing pig and is obviously in pain. He's also crying when I feed him and given him a bottle so I think it must be his teeth. Poor bubbaA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
