Elle, no idea... But if they have a calcium rich diet, do they need to still drink specific amounts of milk?

Well yeah, that was kinda part of the question :o Once they're a year old do they just have three meals and snacks and drinks whenever, or are you "supposed to" (;)) aim for a specific amount of milk too? Wonder what the toddler milk boxes say...

I've always wondered this...at what age do you no longer have to give milk at all? (milk as a dietary supplement, not just the odd glass or whatever)

How much milk should a 1yr+ LO drink in a day?

A pint a day. But you should take milk in/on food and yoghurts etc into consideration too.

    A pint is about 20oz

Dunno how long that goes on for though?

Edit - according to my HV anyway!!! I will continue to give milk for as long as Benjamin wants it I guess (but then I am swapping to cows milk as soon as we get back off our jollies!!)

This one has been cluster feeding all day. I keep trying to get her to eat food instead/as well but she is having a milky week. I'm pretty sure she "should" be having less milk than this by now, but never mind. I suppose she might br making up for not getting as much while she is at nursery?

I found this on the huggies australian site:

    • The RDI of calcium for children between 1–3 years is 500mg.
    • One cup of full-fat milk (250mg) has 295mg of calcium.
    • So, just two cups of milk (500ml) provides 590mg of calcium, slightly exceeding the RDI for children between 1 and 3 years of age.
But with you using formula milk elle, I guess you would have to go by the box details...
