Oh well that's alright then if it's for safety.....
I hate when it's about money though
Is there any chance the strike won't go ahead (PERRRLEAAASSSEEE?!) Like if they make things safer for railway workers?0 -
Oh wait actually, more like replace you with cameras means lay off a bunch of people  How dare they! I don't want to die on a rofltrain!

NMS That pic is fantastic.
Who did you use in the end?
All the wedding talk makes me want to do it all again too!
Well C wouldn't settle in my bed alone last night for the first time (she's usually up there til we go to bed) so she ended up asleep on me downstairs til half ten. Not sure if I just don't remember but I don't think she woke then til 8am - but I may have latched her on in my sleep! I hope it was the former :T
Going into work this afternoon to pick up my laptop and have a hand over. Apparently a customer wants me to take him over to our lab in Italyand has been waiting for me to come back so I can take him (doesn't want anyone else to take him). Not sure what will happen but will know more next week.
Off to build new storage unit now for C's room.
Hugs to all xxxMy baby girl :kisses3: September 09 :heartsmil0 -

haha i work in admin so i wont be striking lol. theres a section of workers call 'track inspectors' and they check for parts of the line which are damaged, could make a train buckle, and they also check for all things to like holes in fences which little kids could get on the line, Network rail want to get rid of the track inspectors and put cameras on the bottom of trains to spot damage, but that wont spot broken fences, ways on to the line. etc.
not sure if it'll go ahead or not, they'll lose a lot of cash over easter. they usually put replacement buses on thought.0 -
*chuckles at Karen's quick u-turn*
My wedding cake was pants but I didn't have time to get the one I wanted and mum bullied me into having a layer of fruitcake _pale_ bleugh!
I also didn't even get to eat any of Chris's Christening cake because she insisted on getting fruit and at the time I was too tired to argue with her (she can be a right bint when she wants!)
OMG guy on the street on this morning in responce to the Qu how much a month do you spend on clothes, "not much, about £300" :eek:0 -
The thing that really annoys me now is that it was the parents that didn't invite me not that the child didn't want me there, I had lots of friends at primary school but I also had some (VERY MILD) behaviour issues so parents would tell their kids to not play with me and wouldn't let them invite me - gets!
Don't start me on bl00dy parents - they're horrible!
I'm sure i've told the story before, but a not so quick recap.
L had her 6th birthday party at an outdoor adventure/play place about 20 miles away from here. She was allowed to invite 5 friends (that's all I could fit in the car), OH brought himself, J, Mum & Sister in his 4 seater.
She chose her five best friends.
The mother of C, one child not invited moaned to another childs Mum about me leaving out her child - then didn't speak to me for over 3 years, and refused to invite L to C's next three parties although the whole class was invited.
C was invited to L's next parties, and came, but it was always someone elses mum who brought & collected her.
L was upset a few weeks ago as C's party was being organised and C had told L her mum said she's not allowed to invite her. I told L to tell C to tell her mum to 'build a bridge and get over it'. (This was tongue in cheek btw and she wasn't meant to tell her).
Anyhows, the following week the Mum came over to me in the playground and started chatting, asking how J & V are, all very friendly! Then L got an invite to her party. :rotfl:
Bl00dy mothers! :mad::beer:0 -
lol at Sami calling her mum a bint :rotfl::rotfl:
