It is full of Geordies (not to stereotype but they are of the unpleasant kind.. beer swilling, obnoxious brawling sort) and dog !!!!!! and rubbish. It is shabby and horrible.. I wanted to come home on day 2!!..
Thats the problem with our nearest one - it's full of the unpleasant scousers and North Wales people. They had 6 bouncers on the club door !!!!!!!
Thanks everyone for reassuring me that not all sites are like that!
My baby girl is being incredibly cute today. She keeps kissing me, I just wish she's learn to do it with her mouth closed.:beer:0 -

My feet are now back to there normal size too woohooso took Tahlie on her first dog walk yesterday and think she liked it cos she slept the whole 45 min! Oh while I remember too, any one any advice/thoughts on giving dummies? Am really in two minds atm, but T likes to suck her fingers/fist even when she isnt hungry and thought it might help her sleep at night. Want to wait till 4 weeks when BF is well established but will see nearer the time how she is.Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

Afternoon. We had a good time in town and I got a brief nap when I got back. I'm now stuck under a girl who doesn't want to play or do anything except drink milk. Probably because she turned down her lunch, so I'm not too worried - will bring tea forward if I can put her down for long enough to get something ready!

Has anyone been to a really nice Haven site? My recent memory is of one in North Wales that was absolutely minging! Surely they're not all like that?
Don't go to Sandylands near Adrossan on the West Coast of Scotland.
The swimming pool was tiny and filthy so we didn't use it. Felt intimidated going in the entertainment bit as there were loads of chavvy people there, and I was a newly single parent with no self confidence. Loads of teenagers used to hang around the park drinking on an evening and every morning the childrens play area was covered in broken bottles. There is a train line by the perimter fence and goods trains run frequently all day and night.
We had a caravan at the opposite end of the park to the clubhouse so it was quiet, and we just stayed in there when we were on site and made our own entertainment. I wouldn't have liked a van near the clubhouse.IReighton Sands just a little further down south but a much nicer class of clientele and far more refined.
We've been to that one and I liked the area but didn't like where our caravan was. It was near the entrance and on a bend, so we had nowhere to park the car, and our caravan steps led onto the road. I didn't think it was safe having children bouncing down the steps into a bend on the road! The caravan also had a broken window with sellotape stuff over it, but I was paranoid one of mine would lean on it or something
We bought sandwiches in the bar on arrival and paid £2.50 each for two pieces of stale value white bread with one wafter thin slice of cheap ham between it. Didn't even have any butter or anything on. Didn't bother eating in after that and either ate off site or cooked our own food. We saw a self serve "carvery" one day but everything looked hours old as it was all dried up in the containers. Here I go again on my own....0 -

Becles Sounds nice.
Presthaven Sands is actually a nice park, quite modern and clean - it's just the people there that bring it down.
We only went into the club area once, to watch the wrestling (not my choice btw!) and there were grown women fighting over who got the front row table first.:beer:0 -

We went there when Christopher was almost 1. Really enjoyed it, although was angry that reception didn't have directions to the nearest A&E/out of hours doctor. Christopher got a sever chest infection (one sec he was fine the next he was far from fine) and we ended up having to call NHS24 up here, who called down there and got us a hospital close by, then we went to someone's house and asked if they had directions! He was *this close* to being admitted, which would have been fun, we were due home in 2 days.0 -
Vote now, will the 'dog folk' turn up this time?0

tia I vote no... I'm just getting Izzys coat and shoes on to go round to tesco and it has started with thunder and lightening out there... only a couple of mins round the corner, but I think I'm going to get wet! Why couldn't it have waited. Stupid weather. Back in a bit!
