  • I agree with others Kindof. I'm in the feed-them-when-they-wake camp too. However, if you want him to take a bigger feed when he does wake (rather than let him have just enough to go back to sleep) you could try giving him a nappy change when looks sleepy as this will wake him up a bit, then offer him more milk afterwards.

thanks guys...he basically either doesn't care (so plays with the teat or just completely ignores me) or howls the house down whenever I stick it in his mouth. Sometimes he'll maybe take a suck or 2 (if we're reallllly lucky) but no more than that. I think I will just persevere with offering the bottle every day and hope for the best. It's weird b/c he used to be okay with it! Oh well, will keep trying...

kindof, I fed on demand - when he was that young I didn't wake for feeds ever. He'll wake up when he's hungry unless there's a medical reason to fed him at regular intervals! ooo on top of what GISI said, if he seems like he keeps falling asleep while feeding, try making him slightly chilly by taking off his clothes. This'll help make him less sleepy-at-the-bottle/boob and more likely to take larger quantities.

Right no luck on any of the FAQ's links.....I have tried a quick e-mail to the 'furtherhelp' but I STILL can't get my messages through!!!

There must be something wrong my end, somewhere?

Could one of you kind, lovely people help me again. I am so sorry to be such a pain in the bum, but I really, really want to find out why they won't allow my little teeny accented e:(

EDIT...Just seen Squishy's post.....That must be the reason then:(

Thank you for finding that:D, I had tried searching myself but with no luck!...Not really what I wanted to hear though, as it means they are unlikely to allow it, ever.
