Kindof, I'm going to send you a PM when I have time to sit and type properly xxPiPi, :rotfl: The Pop http://www.silvercross.co.uk/our-range/pushchairs-strollers/pop/ebony/ is £50 cheaper than the Baby Jogger. http://www.bambinodirect.co.uk/details2.asp/ProductID/2574/sid//baby-jogger-city-micro-single.html once you include the raincover.
I am a 3 wheel lover, but the SX looks sturdier.0 -
Does anyone know how I'd know if I had tonsilltius?
My throat is raw, I can barely swallow, I now have earache (no cough or anything!) my glands on my throat are ugmo and swollen.
BUT, I had my adanoids removed as a kid, and Im not sure if they take your tonsils then or not? In fact, I dont even know if I have tonsils :rotfl: What do they look like? I always thought it was the punchbag at the back of your throat but apparently it isnt! Away for a nap. x0 -

Right, decision time. After a very long drive in thick fog, Silver Cross Pop or Baby Jogger Micro, votes please.
Off to catch up now, back in a mo. XYeah she makes the bottle properly, powder and everything, and has them on the kitchen side all day lol. I'd do it your way though. Or if it was gonna be used soonish i'd make it fully and fridge it, then microwave it but you're not even meant to do that are you?! Hot spots and all that. I've done it though, just needs to stand for a min and shake properly.
Kindof - make and store and heat (or not) the bottles in whatever way is best for you. For Chris I made 24hrs worth each night and stored in the fridge, I poured the water in the bottle as soon as it had boiled and when I heated them I did it in the microwave.
IMO in the lovely developed world we are lucky enough to live in as long as the bottles are sterilised and made up milk is kept in the fridge then they'll be ok, its not like we are washing bottles in scabby water and leaving milk lying around to fester in a warm room before feeding them
The blues are horrible but do get better, I remember tripping over the landing step and being inconsolable for about an hour, I hadn't even hurt myself
Do seek help ASAP if you want to stick with the BFing, call the helpline in Krystal's sig or contact the NCT to see if either of them have a BF supporter person who can come to see you, ask your MW if there is a BF trained MW you can see or if there is a local group you can go to.
You might find one here Breastfeeding support groups
Ladies (and Bruno wherever you are!) I've added some useful links to the 2nd post of the thread can you let me know your thoughts on this? good/bad any that should be added?0 -

Kindof, it's overwhelming but you will feel stronger soon i am sure. You've had a hard time of it in his first few days and now that you're home and left to your devices it can be a shock to the system (at the best of times, let alone after the transfer to sunderland etc).
I know Sunderland is not that nice, but it's not that bad!!!
KOAG - I think it's now time that you learn one of the most important bits of motherhood.
You need to perfect the interested look, where you sit with your head slightly to one side and look really interested in someone's advice and add in the odd enthusuastic "really?" or "that sounds great". In reality all their unwanted information is really going in one ear and straight back out the other.
You'll find it happens a lot that people will tell you that you are doing the wrong thing or they wouldn't do it like that blah blah blah! Just learn to kindly ignore it and only take on the advice you want to hear.
As regards the milk, it's your body and your baby and you should do whatever feels right to you. There is no right or wrong way. I know the guilt thing kicks in, but nobody will think any less of you if he's on formula and you shouldn't feel like a failure. Anyway - how many adults do you hear complaining that their life would have been so much better if they'd had more breastmilk
Hope you feel a bit brighter soon. It's bloomin hard work with a newborn, so try and get as much rest as you can xxHere I go again on my own....0 -
Thanks for all the tips guys
I'll await your PM tia, I havent rang the number in Krystals siggie I might give it a bash.
EA if you dont mind me asking what are your issues with BF, you dont have to tell me lol just tell me to sod off if its too personal

Aww, Kindof. I'm sure he'll get the hang of night and day soon!
On the feeding front, as others have said you need to do what feels right for you and Elliot. Don't let anyone make you feel guilty, whatever you decide. I think the people on here with far more experience than me have given some really good advice. I totally agree with whoever said about doing skin to skin now as often as possible. I still try and do it with Henry now, and it noticabley calms him down. We missed out on it at birth too. He also likes coming in the bath with me- if OH can hand him in to you and take him out for you it's a really nice way to have a cuddle.
I know it's miserable, but it is totally normal to feel tearful and blue in the early days. Aside from all the hormones whizzing around your body, you are probably still exhausted from all the trauma of being heavily pregnant, giving birth, being in hospital, being separated from Elliot, coming home etc. It is a huge amount to take in, but it does get better soon.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0
