Aha, Aimee's eaten half a bagel this morning... That's a result... I did have to go on at her a bit... I'm sure she's OK to eat but she's just not... Hubby thinks it's because she's scared she'll be sick again but she's not that bothered about being sick so I think it's more because of the attention she gets...

Got my friends little girl coming round for an hour this morning to play... She's 3 so that'll be an experience, entertaining a 5yo, 3yo and a baby... It'll give me a bit of experience for the next one I suppose ;)

Beanie, I think you should report it too... He's thinking he can get away with turning up and battering you and he'll definitely do it again, if it's not the first time, it certainly won't be the last and do you want your children growing up thinking that's how to act in a relationship?

PP, have you told your Mum you're taking the extra time off? I think I'd be inclined to make out you're really pleased about it so you don't have to have an awkward conversation with her if she does change her hours...

KOAF, sorry you're still here and so uncomfortable!! I went 9 days over the 2nd time round and it's the pits isn't it!! Round here everyone says Mom instead of Mum but you don't see cards with it on... And TBH, Aimee has stage words from school to learn and one of them is Mum which she had no problem with, until one of the classroom assistants started writing Mom on her things which then confused her and we now get a mixture of the 2... I think I'd prefer to get a Mum/Mummy one if it's better for her to learn...

    Becles (((Hugs)))

SM, I'm sure today will fly by and you'll be home before you know it... I bet Jayden gives you extra special beaming smiles too! :D
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

And monitor, maybe the Angelcare, not sure yet.

we have the angel care and the tommee tippee, both with monitor pads. We think they both have advantages. The TT is great but on a couple of occasions has let us down and I have walked away from the cot with fergie, got all the way down the stairs with him and got him into the hi chair ( all heavily PG so not fast!) and only then has the monitor realised he's not there and let off it's alarm!

the BIG advantage of the angel care is that you can seperate the frequencies for the alarm and their general noises.

With the TT you either turn down the volume on the snuffly noises, but you are also turning down the volume on the alarm :( or you get woken up by every little magnified wiggle and trump...

Meant to say earlier - we have the TT breathing monitor (along with a video one -paranoid? Me? lol) and have had no problems with it, no false alarms or anything. Don't know if thats the sort you're looking for Tara?

I agree Jam, just with the exception of our 3 false negatives over a year... :)

While it's in my mind, has anyone heard from Feelie?
She hasn't been around since she and Buttons had a spat. Feelie - if you are lurking, I hope you are ok.

I hope feelie is ok too.

I have her mobile and can text her but feel it might not be appropriate as she sent it for me primarily for if Sacha needed it for expressing advice. But I will if people are worried and would like me to.

LOL morning, any tips for insane belly cramp and bad back?

Ive just had a lovely hot bath but then the back hurt again as soon as I got out

The pains are weird, they dont feel like contractions as such so I dunno what to do about them?

Just watched dancing on ice results .... gutted

if the hot bath helped then can you get some thermacare heatwraps? they sit on the small of your back and deliver heat for 8-10 hrs and are more effective than paracetamol plus brufen according to clinical trials. I like the ones that wrap round you in PG cos the ones that stick to the inside of your knickers move around too much for me cos I don't have maternity pants just cheapy big knickers 2 sizes up from normal, so in order for them to accomodate bump, they are really hangy-offy at my back and bottom!

    PS

COME ON ELLIOT! :Dit's a lovely world out here! You'll really like it! xxx

YAY for Poppie!! That picture's just gorgeous.

    Happy birthday Kai!

    Happy birthday Seth!

    Good luck SM!

    Have fun Jillie!

Beenie, I'd go into your local police station while your DS is at school, and from there to the housing office. Be as persistent as it takes, lovely, you don't have to put up with this.

    Hugs Feelie, if you're lurking.

    And hugs Becs.

Weezl and KOAG, I hope you're both doing ok xxx

Krystal, I'm glad Aimee is a bit better.

Glam, I've no idea what to do for a cold other than raising the cot end, but I hope he feels better soon.

    Hello Chaz.

Big scare last night. Molly flat out refused to go to sleep and eventually passed out exhausted. I woke up around 3am, turned to look at her and she didn't seem to be breathing. So I put my hand on her chest and it wasn't moving - I shook her and she moved her fingers and then started visibly breathing again, but I don't know if it was just very shallow breathing because she was so deeply asleep or if we averted disaster or what. But I haven't been to sleep since.

Good luck SM, I hope it won't be as bad as you're dreading :o

Feelie, if you're lurking - we miss you!

Beenie, I would walk into the station and fill out a report to make sure you get the reference number. Then phone the housing office ASAP. And tlak to your HV.

So sorry about that! How petrifying. :(

I saw a little gadget that's a breathing monitor that you clip to the waistband of nappy, and it monitors the rise and fall of the tummy/chest. if there's no movement for 15 secs it gives a little vibrate to gently rouse the child, then another at 5 more seconds, and then alerts you. Would it help to give a linkie?

You're right Aless, it's Seth and Kai's birthdays today... Happy birthday to both of them :D

Hi Chaz and welcome to the thread... Don't worry about accidentally disapearing, we won't take offence... We will however, talk about you behind your back ;):p

Sugar, loads of times I've looked at Caitlyn and not been able to see her breathing, I find rubbing the palm of her hand makes her curl up her fingers and that reasures me... I think when they're deeply asleep they must breath shallower...
