OH just told Isla she's silly for leaving my present in the other room, I've got a card and a compact mirror etched with 'The best mum in the world' and a pic of me and Isla! He wrote some lovely things in the card too which made me cry
And I feel like a very horrid person for being a little upset they say Mum not Mummy, especially as their so nice
:o
Thats like if you are up north though, I will be known as mam and mammy and you cant get cards that say that at all, I think Tesco might have done a range last year but can'r swear by it. I mean it cant be hard for card makers to add mam and mammy their cards surely!

I don't know what it's like in Scotland, but I'd have to be pretty desperate before I claimed housing and council tax benefit again - it was a complete nightmare so we would have to be entitled to a lot for it to be worth the hassle. It took months for us to get our first payment (it only came after we wrote to our MP), we were constantly having to provide them with evidence of our income, the amount we got changed almost every week and twice they incorrectly stopped our benefit without warning. The first time they stopped it, we made a formal complaint and they made us the example in training (because we were complicated) but they still managed to do it again. It was just endless work and hassle.would things work out for you with that? it really made a differene to us as it meant we could get a nice house and afford to live in it! rather than being stuck in a 2 bed with 4 kids and on a 8 year waiting list!
You can still phone the police about it now. Obviously the ideal would be to phone straight away but you are still allowed to report it later and it's not like it was weeks ago and you have the injuries to prove it. I would suggest you turn up at the housing office as soon as you can (so that they see the black eye and because I am concerned about you and think it is urgent that they should move you) and tell them that your ex turned up and did it and that you really need to move.I didn't ring the police so i don't think it would make any diff housing wise cos i can't prove it actually happened? Well apart from having a lot less hair than i did this morning, and i blue shiny eye and cheekbone
Since he's gone now so it's not an emergency, I would either phone the local police phone number or turn up at a local police station. Thanks Fitz, Sami and all... How can i report it now though? It's already happened and he's gone? Don't wanna look a fool but a ref no would be good to give to the council re. move?

Morning all

Rhys woke up at 5am-something again this morning -fourth night running
He's no trouble when he wakes up, just needs his dummy putting back in, but he shouts out, then by the time we've got to his room, he's almost fast asleep again - it's like we're imagining him shouting out!
OH woke me up before he left for work. Can't remember what I wanted to get up so early for now though
We're off to get Rhys weighed this afternoon - finally found a baby clinic with an afternoon session
Other than that, no plans here for today, just chilling. Amazingly we haven't got any appointments for Rhys all week!
Hope everyone has a good day xx0 -
You won't know what to do with yourself all week elle!
Off to MHall this morning for my dad to get measured for his suit for my sisters wedding. He's treating us all to our dinner too
Hoping to hear back from Avon today about getting started. DH and I said this morning that if this had happened in 3 years time we would be £600 per month better off then as there'd be no loans or child maintenance to pay out! Still, as long as we have enough for the essentials and a little bit spare then that's good enough for me. We've got our holiday booked in July, fortunately most of our days out are being paid for with clubcard deals vouchers
Caitlyn is asleep thankfully - she has such a snotty nose and find's it hard to feed and breathe so gets frustrated. It woke her at 5.45 this morning whereas normally she'd sleep until about 7.
Going to put her down then get off and wash my hair before I pick mum and dad up. Oh that's another thing, dad told me on Saturday that mum is thinking of going on evenings at work so she could have C in the daytime while I'm at work  He told me that as he brought yet another empty whisky bottle out of her bedroom! I don't know what planet she's on. The whole reason I got a childminder for Josh was because of her smoking and drinking.Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked

Not feeling so good at the moment, so I'm going to keep my head down for a while.
Took the boys to the Sunderland match yesterday and really enjoyed that though, although was gutted when Man City equalised in injury time. Here I go again on my own....0
