DD found the rugby ball position good for sore nipples EA, have you tried it?Too many children, too little time!!!0

It sounds like you are doing great, EA! Don't forget she's only really getting colostrum at the mo. She'll probably settle better once your milk comes in and her tum is nice and full.
Elle- grr at that GP. Put him on the set fire to pile. Are there any risks taking the Dom long term or was he just completely being an !!!?:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

Consultant today called Benjamin 'Ben' and it made me all  will I ever be okay with him being called Ben? We did pick it knowing that he would be Ben eventually but it seems so wrong ATM!!!!
DS1 is named Joseph and was only to be known as Joseph. Anyone who called him Joe had their head ripped off (mainly FIL). Then I just started calling him Joe one day. I remember being at a play centre at some kids party and i shouted him over calling him "Joe". Turned round and SIL was starring at me accusingly and said "you called him Joe, we're not allowed to do that!" lol. I think at some point you just give up and let go.weezl - has that parcel arrived yet?!
Jack won't take the Aptamil Follow On Milk! He's dropped another bottle so down to just 3 a day now, might try a carton of the Stage 1 cos he's had that before.
Alex is now on Cow & Gate Follow on and C&G night time milk. Wouldn't take the Aptamil after trying the C&G.Evansangel wrote: »
IL's gave us £100 to spend on her, so i think a shopping trip is a must
Plus i want some new shoes... but shhh
Hi, Welcome and congratulations EA. I think you MORE than deserve a new pair of shoes after the natural birth of Lily.
Hugs for Weezl and Fergie.
Alex is in the good books, went to bed at 8pm, woke at 3.15am. 5 oz of milk later
back in his cot. Stirred at 5.30am, but dummy and seahorse got him back off for another hour. And I went to bed at 8.30pm as i was absolutely exhausted. Couldn't really get back to sleep though after the middle of the night feed, because I don't think my body could actually cope with the amount of sleep it had had :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
EA, i cried for the first few days with Amber feeding too. It wasn't nipple pain though as if she wasn't positioned right it was just that her super sucking strength + no milk = ouchie. When my milk came in it literally just stopped hurting and was fine! I also bought a dummy straight away thinking she was using me as a dummy but she was just ordering her milk in
But it was nice to have a break from it for 10 mins cos it's constant isn't it!!
Off to garage soon, wahhh0 -
just rang the shop i'm going to to try and sort things out. feel like i;m being a bit pushy but i need to know days for the nursery and with us being away all next week it doesnt give me much time before i have to pay the deposit. and i want to sort it all in one go rather than having to keep going back and forth.
cant remember who was aking bout the breast pump (sorry) but if its pulling your nipple (gets sucked in) its working so might just take a while. if its not doing that, its not working properly. even one thing slightly in the wrong place, or not fitted properly stops it working. it takes a bit of getting used as well.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
Ohh Babycentre says (for last week, 10 wks)
If your baby's sleeping through the night (five or six hours at a stretch), you're one of the lucky few.
 I'm so blessed with Amber. She sleeps 9 hours and has done since 7 or 8 weeks!
I don't feel any better for it though cos i struggle to sleep even though i'm zombified.0 -

There are risks to taking it, but you can be on it for it's intended use for years and I'm only taking the recommended dose for it's intended use (3 a day) instead of the full on max dose for increasing BM supply (9 a day to begin with). I suppose I could randomly develop nausea and bloating (intended use) and get put on it for that! *rolleyes*
Physio assistant (not an actual physio) has been moaning at me that Rhys isn't sitting, rolling, crawling, doing cartwheels, etc etc  She completely blanked him when he was stood up perfectly straight, no wobbling, just with one hand on my shoulderShe's coming back in two weeks "and expects to see an improvement"
