:grouphug:To all the tired people this morning. I hope you all manage a nap today as being worn out sucks!
DKAM- sorry you're having a rubbish time at the moment. I hope that R feels better this morning.
Weezl- big gentle hugs for Fergie. I can't believe his Mothercare highchair collapsed, but very glad he seems okay. H and I will be making hobnobs today.
Having a quiet day at home today to sort out all the junk in the kitchen, list some of it on Freecycle and see if anyone actually turns up to collect.
Caz- that buyer sounds like a right noob, hope you get it sorted.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
ahhhh ebay nightmare! i am gobsmacked and think she is having me on and wanting money back for a perfectly smoke free car seat! what would you suggest?
I'd refuse to refund and take the neg feedback, but since you already agreed to a return I'd refund minus postage. Some buyers are shiznits. Why are dell messing SS about?
I'm trying to buy a work laptop and need one with a UK keyboard and English-language software. But they won't let me buy one and their tech support chat person was a flagrant scriptmonkey and wasn't answering my questions AT ALL and then trying to keep me from escalating to their supervisor.
 a the ,highcharir.
Hugs DKAM, it sounds like you're better off though. Do you have anyone to talk to?
:j Seth!
KOAG feeling unrealdy and BEING TIRED slow everything down. Sorry abut caps lock and spelling, Molly is helping me type.
bbbbbbbb
Re names, my father registered me. I was supposed to be a Bethany but he had a last minute change of heart and I'm not one. We went together for Molly. I'm fairly sure OH is too afraid of the consequences to have chosen a different name for Molly but not sure enough to let him do it by himself :rotfl:Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

I didn't want to be there for a 'moment' but because I didn't trust him to do it right
and I came <this> close to giving Ed an extra name
:o
susan, do you think if I tried that squeezing thing with the shields on, I could create an expressing environment where nothing actually touches my nipple?Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

SJ I thought both parents had to be there to register birth if they both want on birth cert? thats what someone at work told me, obv they were wrong lol
Only if they are not married but we are so either of us can do it on our own.
Right I'm up and going to go get ready for sling meet today! But first I have a question about expressing - why won't my manual pump work?! It's definitely put together right but I just can't get anything to come out using it. I've done some manual expressing last night and this morning but only managed about 20ml each time. The pump is the Avent one.0 -
EA- haven't read back but just wanted to let you know that with DD for the first 2 nights I just let her sleep on me as I was shattered (3 days of no sleep cos of contractions that woke me every 10-20 mins, then 26 hour labour, then another sleepless night in hospital because everyone else's babies were squawking) so I did not have the energy to get her used to her moses basket. After having a good rest, I just fed her laying down in with me, I felt able to tackle getting her used to her basket. I kept putting her in it all the next day every time she looked sleepy and she slept brilliantly in it, then come bedtime my milk had come in so she was very settled with a nice full tum and slept beautifully for 5 hours, in her moses basket. When she woke up first time (around 3-4) I used to bring her in with me and we would sleep until 8-9. She carried on in that pattern. Although she never liked daytime naps unless falling asleep feeding or on me, until she was about 9 months. She went from having 2 20 min naps (but sleeping through the night) to having 1 2 hour nap and still sleeping through the night.
Long winded post sorry but lots of people 'told me off' nicely about having her in with me first couple of nights, but I really just needed the energy to deal with it, and so for me that worked out best.0 -
Morning all,
sooo tired: Elena does not want to sleep at night just now, and thinks 6am is a totally acceptable time to get up in the morningWe'll have to do this when I go back to work, but not just now! I admit I've been bringing her into bed with us, as it's the only way we've been able to get some sleep.
Elenas middle name is Lesley after my twin sister. One of the practice nurses at our baby clinic is called Lesley and confused me the first time I met her when she told me we should have used Lesley as her first name :rotfl: Apparantly this is the first time she has come across someone with that name in the 6 years she has been working at the clinic so she is pleased even if it is a middle name
Weezl - so sorry to hear about the accident! I hope Fergie is back to normal, and am glad he is okayIt's put me off buying one of those types of seats as I've been looking at them.
*hugs* to all who want one0 -
you need to do whats best for you and baby and if that means having them in with you then thats what what you do!! i think everyone is more trying to warn about carry babay around all the time as this does lead to problems as baby will never want to be put down and will be so use to it that they wont know any difference!
Am hopefully off to buy mothers day presents but i really dont know what to buy lol! What's for you won't go past you0 -
