hurrah for steps mel!! Ss, obviously u need to set hubby straight! :-p

Sj, try not to worry. Finn was the most unsettled at the age alfie is now. It will pass and he'll get better. The key for us was to make sure he got plenty of sleep during the day, as that actually (i know it sounds weird) will make for better night sleep and longer between feeds at night.

    Evening all,

Kindof – we have the Fisher Price Precious Planet cot mobile which projects onto the ceiling, athough as H was in her moses basket for so long, we never used the mobile attachment. So it is really good, but we could probably have got a cheaper one without the mobile. You can activate the pictures and the sounds separately though. We bought my niece the Tomy WTP one for Christmas and it looked quite good, but I prefer ours and the classical lullabies.

Gosh, I have a mind like a sieve!

SS – If no-one else wants the M&P voucher I would use it. No probs if someone else wants it though.

Took H to get weighed today – she is now 15lb 8oz. She was sitting up for ages at Kindermusik today, and keeps trying to sit up (and doing a very good job at it!), so must have really toned tummy muscles. She still refuses to roll over though and hates tummy time. Anyone any tips for getting her to enjoy it more?

We have now hit the realm of "if you don't stop talking to me, I'm going to throw my mug of tea in your face and follow it with some live wires".

It's like he waits till I'm annoyed and then just piles on all the things he knows annoy me.

Oh, and DH is away overnight with work so I am home alone with baby for the first time. It will be his turn in April though as I will be away for 2 nights. Really not looking forward to leaving her though. Never thought I would feel like that.

Thanks Aless. He's not too bad, just been a bit more grumbly when he's awake but he doesn't really cry or anything. I have to say I am looking forward to when he does sleep a little longer at night. I know I'm very lucky with how good he is but I'm still so tired!

DH is going to a festival for 2 nights in July for our friend's 30th (his best friend) and I'm really not looking forward to that. He's gone to the football tonight so is out all evening and that's bad enough!

Kindof I'm having your favourite for tea - green curry!

I am fine with being on my own with her as she is easy, but can't imagine being away from H for 2 nights! She is sitting on my lap so typing one handed as usual!

SS - I have always fancied Iceland, but it was really expensive. Is it still as dear with the banking collapse? I agree though, some places/situations/events are just not practical with a baby.
