something's bothering me a little so....
anyone who had a c-section, did you get to hold baby straight away??
when K was born they showed me him and then took him away. i didnt get to hold him for bout 40mins while they 'fixed' me up so DH, PIL and my mum all had held him before me. there was no mention in notes of any problem.... just plays on my mind a little as all the mums on OBEM who had c/s have held baby straight away. prob me being daft'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -

I told part of this story yesterday but its taken a very funny turn :rotfl:
On Saturday OH and I were in ASDA and he said about getting Mothers Day cards, so I get mine and he picks up 2 (yay!) one with WTP on (lovely) and the other one with Cinderella on (!!!!!!!!!!).
I turned round and said I hoped the Cinderella one wasn't for me because it looked really tacky and OH was winding me up saying I'd get what I was given.
Anyway, last night I told him if he wanted me to send his mum's card then he better write it. Out comes the Cinderella one (YAY!!!!) - now here comes the hilarous bit.................................................
Inside it said Happy Mother's Day from your little Princess :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
OH had to do some editing so it read Prince's :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

With Joe, I was just shown him and he was taken away.
With Alex, he was checked over, and wiped clean then kind of placed at the side of my head, so OH and I could both gaze at him for about 10 minutes, then OH and Alex disappeared while they finished me off.0 -

Jillie - I really don't know what to say but didn't want to not say anything IYSWIM.
It must be strange, because we all want to be the first to hold our babies, and it is not at all daft. Maybe they were looking after you first?
Does it only bother you when you watch something like OBEM or do you think about it more often? xxxplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120
