KOAG you can have two, you need to keep your strength up for labour.
SS I agree, it's just parenting. Sometime's if I've had a bad day with Isla it really narks me when OH wanders in and out doing what he fancies all evening whereas I feel I have to ask him to mind her to grab five minutes for a shower/loo etcBelly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0 -
Thanks lovely, when I talk to her I'll ask.
Meanwhile, I'm going to say something that may or may not be controversial. I hate it when men say they're babysitting their kids. You can't babysit your own kids. It's just called "parenting".
Or 'I'll watch the kids for you...' usually replied with a kick to same bollox that helped make those kids.0 -

Hey! Hi Niddy
You being here just reminded me that i need to chase that ebay seller about the dodgy inks. Haven't read the thread for a few days and i've got some mega catching up to do!
Buttons, just so you aren't feeling left out - i don't mind confessing that i smoke AND breastfeedSomeone ring social services! I am what is labelled a "light smoker". Nothing better than waking up on a morning, sticking baby on boob, fag in mouth.
That's a joke btw :rotfl: I'm aware of the risks, i make my own decision. Yes i feel guilty, but like NID said, it's gone on for years and it's only now so dangerous that i might aswell put a pillow over her face in case her nose is cold.
I smoke outside, and no, i don't wait 3 hours or whatever after a fag til i feed Amber. Anyway my midwife agreed it wasn't a good time to stop smoking, cos of my stresses. :rotfl: My son doesn't have asthma or ear infections etc btw... But then again i don't give him blowbacks either *rolleyes*
I reckons there's probably about a 80/20 divide on this thread that looks down their noses and me and Buttons but i'm sure i speak for both of us when i say "meh" :cool:0 -
I don't look down my nose at anyone!
I feed my baby jars of food at lunch and dinner so mehA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -

Hi Beenie - you've not missed too much (honest!)...
Get that eBayer told and do it before your resolution timeframe expires
Regards to the highlighted bit above - PMSL - talk about trying to cause a sh!tstorm... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:2010 - year of the troll

I don't see anything wrong with that, i will give Amber jars on the nights we're not eating mushable food. I bought some TT weaning pots with lids though when they were on offer so i do have good intentions of pre-making mush and freezing it.
Oh but one thing i will agree on is that the child is prob more likely to smoke if parents do but that's only based on my experience of nicking my mam's fags :rotfl: I am going on the champix when i finish breastfeeding, cos apparently the tablets are not ok, which seems a bit of an oxymoron.0 -

The seller sent me an email saying to try another cart, not sure what that'll resolve seeing as i'll still be left with unworkables but i'm gonna get the printer out now and do it. I consider myself arsekicked0 -

You're more than welcome
Smoking - no need for Feelie or BM to leave the thread. Hope you both stay xx I'd miss the funny Kiera stories.
Craig smokes, but only outside as I don't like it. Charlotte hasn't suffered any ill effects from it.
Sent a letter into school this morning explaining that the girl has deleted all her comments from Facebook but sent copies of her nasty text messages and the comment from the other girl about bullying. James said the original girl was called into the office and he doesn't know what was said. Then the girl, him and his friend were called out and they all had to apologise and make friends. The girl has already had her Facebook deleted, and the headmaster has told James and his friend that they must delete their accounts this evening or else. Not happy about that bit
It's parents night tomorrow, so I'm going to ask if the girl's parents have been made aware of what she has been doing, and confirming that James will not be deleting Facebook as following our chat with him, I'm happy for him to continue using it.
Charlotte is finally getting somewhere with potty training. She's had knickers on today and managed one wee in the toilet, so I'm chuffed to bits. She reminds me she has to wash her hands afterwards to get rid of bum germs :rotfl:Here I go again on my own....0 -
beenie- research has proved that it is still better to breastfeed when you are smoking than not breast feeding at all, so don't give yourself the guilts and if anyone tries to make you feel bad point them in the direction of some of this research (loads on a google search)
Everyone makes their own choices that are best for their family, and we all make snap judgements on people for certain things, but live and let live I say! As mum's we shouldn't be making each other feel bad for our choices but supporting others, as other mums are the only ones that know just how hard a job it is!0
