I was in P7 so had atleast had the film at school. Plus my mum left a book on my bed once.

I'm bricking it too, I can barely look DH in the eye if I have some reason to tell him it's that time. Really have a huge hang up on it, better get that sorted before Amber gets to that age.

Hmmm, what stuff would I like to have been told?

It's not just blood, there can be bits in it too.
A walk helps if you have bad cramp.
Take painkillers to school because they won't give you any.

And then hope your mother will actually buy the things you need instead of having to make do with loo roll till you had money of your own.

I had hairs before periods! I didn't start my periods until 15, but had hairy armpits at 7 (not like you get now, but a good few!) and legs and foof started not long afterwards.

I remember my sister starting her period and asking me if I would put the pad on her knickers :rotfl: She was 13 and we grew up in an open household so it's not like she had been sheilded from it. Bless her, she has always been a bit "precious"

You sound like me! I'm like a total adult but can't say 'the words' to OH, I just give loads of hints. :o:(

my nan gave me horror stories of periods ... i dont think she meant it too just how she learnt x

My Nanna told be that you weren't allowed to wash your hair during your period. I'm not sure why?!?

But she also got me a present when I started and congratulated me on becoming a woman (in front of extended family/neighbours - it was Christmas day!). :o

J has only got hairs in the last 6 months of so, he's almost 13. I can't remember what order it happened in for me - it was a long time ago!

    I did.

Would have to be about 12 on Sat or Sun afternoon pretty much anytime. S'up to you.

My lappy sounds like it is about to take off!!!
Sorry, I disappeared on you lol... Sat's fine... Dave won't be here though... I mean, you could come Sunday if you really want to see him again... ;)
Krystal, fair enough, I guess depends how much you want to keep going to that baby group. Maybe you could see it as an opportunity to find one nearer to home and make some new friends as well then?

El always naps in her pram, maybe thats my mistake! it seems easier when Millie is as school cos it means I don't have to wake El up if she's asleep at school pick up time but it does mean she is downstairs in the thick of it when Millie is at home, might have to introduce naps in her cot in anticipation of the 6wk hols.
I quite think napping in the pram is a good idea, I'm sick of the amount of times I've had to wake Caitlyn up to go down the school...

I told Hubby about the whole toddler group thing today and he said if I enjoy going I should just carry on whatever happens and we'll deal with anything as and when... :)

Speaking of poo, Amber has been pooing LOADS since i gave her a carton of formula 2 nights in a row. And this morning she done one that even DS went green at, and he usually asks for a look at the nappy :rotfl: (yes i have a strange [STRIKE]minging[/STRIKE] son :D)
Aimee's the same... Every nappy change she's got her head on your shoulder checking for poopies!

I had an older sister whose friend had given her a book about puberty that she let me read... My Mother never ever had the chat with us... My periods started and I didn't tell her for 3 days... When I did tell her it was terribly uncomfortable... I don't want that for Aimee... I'd like to sit and talk it through with her... Just don't know when to start really... She's seen blood in the toilet and told me someone must have had a nosebleed... I didn't have the heart to tell her any different... :o
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
